Would love to be able to tell you if the beer is good or not, but unfortunately never got the chance to taste it. We had booked a table for a Sunday evening 5pm. Date, time and location had been confirmed by email. When we showed up at the location the entrance was closed by roller shutters. You could hear typical bar noise coming from the inside, but despite waiting for a some time, ringing door bells etc. we never managed to get in. I still can’t judge if 18th Ward Brewing is good at brewing or not, but what happened to us is definitely an unacceptable no-go.
Chill vibe - went for the 2 Wheels Tuesday. Great crowd and such beautiful motorcycles throughout the years.
I tried the I'm Not Even A Pumpkin Guy - I am a die hard Shipyard girl, THIS BEER was one of the best Pumpkin beers I had since Shipyard.
Great beer, live music, fun crowd. If you’re lucky enough to have Shaver as your bartender, he is one of the best and most knowledgeable brewers in the entire city, and definitely the friendliest.
the place itself is fine, but both times i’ve gone the bartenders act annoyed when you ask for anything
Guli and Terrance hosted an amazing beer tasting at UBS delicious beer and awesome presentation
Great ambiance, also Stoph is pretty cool I guess
Great spot. Delicious
A band was playing live music when I arrived here on a Saturday night. I hadn't intended to watch the show and the space was fairly small. The beers I had were alright, far from the best. Overall it's a short walk from the L and it's worth checking out once.
This place is fun… But the beer is awful!
This place was fine? The food was serviceable and the beers were decent. Tried a couple of their cocktails which were basically just juice. Also the bartender gave very weird vibes- like he seemed real high but also oddly aggressive. There are worse places to have a drink while waiting for a show at Brooklyn Steel- but there are also definitely better.
Restaurantji Recommends
bartender kept staring at my boyfriend and i as we were waiting for a concert at brooklyn steel to start. Weird uncomfortable vibe, definitely is for cismen.
Great brewery to hit before and after a show at Brooklyn Steel. Food was spot on for the brewery.
Very good brewery, several options of delicious beers, the blonde is incredible. The place is cozy and the music is excellent.
Fantastic brewery for pre and post show drinks and food. Highly recommend their draft beers and quesadillas! Great music also ! Can’t wait to go back !
