Yea I been. Got the bahn mi. Let me tell u something- I’ve had vegan bahn mis before and lots of places will just give u the vegetarian option without the mayo. Ruins it ; dry, flavorless, hard to eat, saddening. But 5ive spice’s veggie bahn mi?? Flavorful. Vegan by default. Saucy. Doesn’t have mayo -doesn’t NEED IT. Spicy, and done with balance. It’s a good bahn mi. 🥖
The corn here is absolutely great! The fish ball, spring rolls, tofu and chicken/beef all were flavorful. I highly recommend it

I love this place. The veg banh mi is always so good, the sauce they use is perfect. And, the sandwich is pretty decent for the price!

Used to be amazing and a go-to for us. Then they changed from high-quality baguette to a soft, sub-style roll and it’s really not banh mi anymore. Total bummer.

Love this local spot. It’s become very popular over the years. They have limited veggie options but if you’re a fan of vegan soy protein, then it’s excellent. I usually don’t like soy protein but 5ive spice hits different. It has a slight meat texture but it’s very flavorful. Generous portion size (and amount of soy protein included) for the dish ($15). Cute atmosphere (although a bit noisy when full). Somewhat limited seating. A few tables for outdoor seating on the sidewalk. CASH ONLY.
2025.08 Cash only, not a big issue at all. I order Banh, fresh roll, classic is ok for $12.50. Average. To go box is wonderful, it has hole for ventilation.....i like the way their bathroom design.

Accidentally in love? Don’t let the simple space fool you. I stumbled upon this spot while wandering around Brooklyn, craving pho, and let me tell you—I’m so glad I did. Where have you been all my life?
I’ll say it now: this is some of the best Vietnamese pho in NYC. Easily top three. The only downside is that it’s cash only (which always gets on my nerves), but aside from that, the experience was fantastic. Service was quick, and the pho itself was unlike any I’ve had before. The broth had a subtle sweetness, rich flavor, and incredible depth that’s hard to put into words.
And the spring rolls—wow. You wouldn’t think much about something so simple, but these were next-level: light, crispy, flavorful, and not the least bit greasy. It’s surprising how often restaurants get spring rolls wrong, but here they nailed it.
My personal favorite was the five-spice pho. Spicy, aromatic, and packed with bold flavors—it had just the right kick. Honestly, I’m already planning my return visit, maybe as soon as next week. It’s that good.

Fantastic all around. Had the Beer Battered Fish Banh Mi. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Wife had the Bubba Bun. It was great! And my kid had 2! Helpings of dumplings. Usually it’s a chore to get her to eat one. Also, if you can get the watermelon Limeade. Treat yo self.
10/10. This place rocks
