Went with the tasting menu with a group of friends and it was amazing. Totally worth it.

The best 5 course meal my wife and I have ever had thus far. Our hands down favorite, and rightfully so as sushi fanatics, was the hamachi. Talk about fresh on fresh on fresh on fresh. Fresh fish, fresh fruit, fresh sauce, fresh cream, fresh presentation—insanely delicious and refreshing.
The tiger bread was some of the most exceptional bread we've ever had as well. The garlic was as buttery smooth to spread as the whipped butter itself, and was pleasantly flavorful without being overly potent.
My next course was the butternut squash rigatoni. The garnish on top was light and crisp and added that extra accent to the whole dish to round it off beautifully. My wife got the iberico pork, which was cooked to tender perfection. The broccoli mash concoction that came with it was reminiscent of broccoli rabe but basically in it's ultimate form anime-style. Crazy inventive.
The next course for me was the beer battered monkfish with risotto and was actually the best beer battered anything I've ever tasted. Superior crisp encasing that mouth melting fish. The risotto had crispy chunks in it as well and helped offset the heaviness of the fried fish like a wife offsets her husband's hard shell exterior and gives way to his heart of flesh. Speaking of, my wife got the lamb with risotto and it was yet again a perfectly tender cut of meat. It was smokey and carried a more intense flavor, which also was rounded out by the gentleness of the risotto, complimenting it on that marital level yet again.
Lastly, the desserts came in and ended the whole show the same way it began—with favorite-level energy. It was the solid second favorite course for both of us. Mine was the panna cotta. Yo. It went crazy. It was like a salted caramel apple cheesecake, but after finding a way to dial in each ingredient to the max before artistically laying it all out on a plate without any of the cheesecake crust. I LOVE sweet/savory, and it encapsulated that in a dessert beautifully. My wife had the chocolate cake with ice cream, and like we don't even know how to properly describe how good that one was—but here goes nothing. The cake was dark dark and rich rich from the sauce oozing on top to the moist pastry itself. The ice cream had a citrus undertone to it that balanced out the richness of the cake. Literally, yin and yang on a plate with the freshest chocolate drenched cherries on top. Good Lord, the Lord is good indeed.
The service was top notch, from the warm greetings, to the coat check in, to the menu break down, to the seamless water refilling and course transitions. We are big on omakase type meals as sushi heads, and this was up there while being a fraction of the price. There was a chill and comforting vibe to the whole restaurant as well. Take a trip here and let them take your palette on a trip it will sing praises on the whole way through. Bless.

I went into 6 on my last night in New York and only wish I’d gone every night! The food was impeccable, the staff and owner were so welcoming and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I can’t recommend this place enough — an absolute gem!

Sigh. Good, not great. And unfortunately just an example of why I am so unenthusiastic about NYC’s dining scene these days. You get to pay $175+ per person for food that is uninspired and forgettable. Had the tasting menu and wine pairing - the bread and lamb dishes were amazing, the lobster bisque was OK, and the hamachi crudo wasn’t good at all. Dessert was good, but they ran out of my first choice. Wine was good. May try their more casual à la carte burger option sometime; but not running back to try this place again, and it pains me to say that.

I pass by this new restaurant most days with curiosity. It holds a mysterious, quiet note in the neighborhood.
My husband and I decided to spend our 30th anniversary here but it will not be deemed as a place for special occasions only.
The food was outstanding. All of it. I haven’t had a meal like that in a long while. Most restaurants pack up in a year or so and I hope this one does not. I mean Debuque left and I still haven’t gotten over that. Don’t be shy. They also serve burgers which we are looking forward to in the near future, although so far their mushroom dish (vegetarian) was my favorite. My husband enjoyed the confit, but all of it was superb. We didn’t inquire about the chef in the heart of the house but wow, keep that up please. Service was lovely and friendly. I had a wine that I really loved there and forgot to take a photo so I’ll have to go back, probably forget again and have to go back, etc. ;)
It’s not stuffy and the owner is charming, humble and gracious. I took a peek at his record (yes, vinyl) collection while was he showing us around and he photographs his patrons and puts them all in a secret room. Come join us there!
I’m really happy I took the leap to try something new for a place that kind of seemed a little imposing. Quite the opposite.
I think the neighborhood has a new little nook to get away from the world for a few hours.

An absolute delight from start to finish; beautiful, hygge space that accommodates different vibes; extensive wine list and some very cool low ABV cocktails; two dining options depending on your appetite and mood, and not surprisingly, the food is outstanding; and service that is uniquely wonderful.

Such a gem! We had the 5-course tasting menu and really enjoyed it. Each dish was thoughtful and delicious, with just the right balance of flavors. The vibe is relaxed but still special, and the service was friendly and attentive without being too much. We feel so lucky to have this place within walking distance — it’s already become one of our go-to spots. For $95, the value is amazing. Highly recommend for a great night out!

I had such an incredible dining experience at 6 NYC in Carroll Gardens. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding—full of flavor, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared.
The standout for me was the gnocchi with confit duck leg—it was rich, perfectly balanced, and truly unforgettable. But honestly, every dish we tried was a hit. The restaurant has a great atmosphere as well, making it a perfect spot for a date night.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for creative, flavorful dishes in a warm Brooklyn setting.

I have eaten here twice and the food is so creative and delicious. A relatively simple sounding dish of pork schnitzel presents as a complex exploration of tastes. The gnocchi was so light. The anchovy toast used a mix of goat and cow butter. It was so good we had to ask. The wine list is very long and contains numerous reasonably priced choices. And the bar is a lovely place to sit solo and order a glass and a meal. Highly recommend
