I attempted to pick up 6 to 8 pies for your work birthday party, but it's now 10:05, and the store is still closed. I was hoping to get them freshly baked, but since the store is closed, that's not possible. The pies are decent, but the store's reliability is questionable.

Got the pineapple coconut cake and the red velvet cake and was unfortunately very disappointed. The cake was both dry and oily — too much butter and not enough moisture in the batter, making it stiff and greasy. The icing was far too sweet, and there wasn’t enough salt or acidity to balance it out. There was no coconut flavor in the pineapple coconut cake other than the flakes on top; it tasted like plain yellow cake with a little bit of pineapple jam. I’ve heard good things about some of their other items but I wouldn’t recommend their cake!

Long time customer and supporter! Truly the best bean pies one can buy! If you Order online deliveries are made on Mondays and Tuesdays only so plan accordingly. It can be frustrating communicating and dealing with delivery issues but I Spoke with Br. Muhammad and Sis. Shariah about the status of my order and I have to say it was totally handled it and addressed nicely and they made sure my pies were received in time for transport by a family member. My faith and confidence in this business, its owners and the quality of this product remains!!

This review is only for the apple pie. The flavor on the crumble was there but the filling was mostly super runny caramel (which seemed undercooked), making it it impossible to eat. Crust was soft and mushy

As soon as you walk into Abu's bakery you're sense are hit with the beautiful aroma of fresh baked goods. Their bean pie is legendary. I've tried a few of their cakes as well and all have been superb. This time I got oreo cake, carrot cake & apple crumb pie and as always it was all very delicious. Abu's is a neighborhood staple & they've been around for 25 years as of 2025 so you know they are legit! Callaloo patty was a burst of yummy flavors. Their Banana bread & brownies are so soft and moist your teeth sink right in. I love this bakery 😍.

I never had bean pie before so I google best bean pie in NYC and this place came up! I just went today it’s so good i can’t describe the taste it like cinnamon but creamy idk but it’s taste so good, it would pair great with a scoop homemade vanilla ice cream the lady who took my order was polite as well

Have to agree with last review. Cake is dry and also I had egg shells in my slice of cake. Lastly, overly sweet icing in my opinion.

I’ve gotten desserts from here twice and it’s been terrible. I never left a review because I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews. BUT today I ordered uber eats from a local soul food spot. All of the food was great so I was super excited for the cake. I already knew it was going to bad when I saw Abu’s label but I wasnt prepared for it to be so inedible that it ruined my night. Dry, over cooked cake with oily frosting. So dry I choked on it. $9 in the trash!!
