I literally work a block from this place and never knew it existed. Walked in on valentines for a sweet treat for my family and I am definitely coming back! Got the bean pie, peach pie, oreo cake, and carrots cake. Cakes were moist, not too sweet, and you can taste the wholesome ingredients. The woman behind the counter took the time to explain what bean pie was and saw the lady in the back making the pie crusts with gloves.

I placed an order with them and never got my pies nor could I get anyone on the phone . The crazy part is I actually ended up in Brooklyn and decided to pass by the location only to find them closed. If they are out of business then their website should say closed. I am very disappointed in the poor service and lack of communication.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I've doordashed their red velvet cake so many times at this point, I figured I'd write one lol. It's so moist and not too crazy rich like most red velvet. It's also a massive slice, it usually takes me three sittings to finish so definitely worth the money. Love them! Definitely give it a try.

I placed an order on December 31, 2023, for the half dozen 6 inch bean pies. After 12 days of waiting, i called and spoke with someone. He told me that my order was already shipped, after confirming my address. Then almost 3 weeks of waiting again, I called back on January 31st and spoke with a lady. She told me the guy who handles the shipping won't be in until later on. I ended up calling back on February 5th, i spoke with the brother. I informed him that i still haven't received my order since December 31st. He said he'll check into it, to see what happened. Now here it is, March 4th, over 2 months later, and i still haven't received my bean pies. I even sent an email, but got no response. I was bragging on the pies to 2 of my coworkers, who i'm sure would've loved the pies, like i do. I'm sure they would've became customers, also. Now i'm afraid to order from there again, because i don't want to keep losing money. I wish we would handle business more better than that. At least show people that you're concerned, or make them think that you are. To me, Abu's has some of the best bean pies, but i just wish the customer service was just as good.
