Brought here by a friend who had nothing but good things to say. Like the concept and the portions are healthy—enough for leftovers if you’re not famished, but the pricing feels close to sit-down style restaurant (and here you are doing most of the service yourself). The quality and freshness was excellent and everything cooked well. For me, taste wise was a tad bland but I’d rather that than doused in obnoxious sauces. Went at a busy time and felt a little squished with a packed line at the bakery/register/store section (trying not to knock into things or people) and then a little wait for a table to free up. Got some pastries for the road which were delicious even cold.

We live in the neighborhood and used to come to Acre regularly since they first opened. Unfortunately, something has seriously changed — and not for the better.
Lately, the staff has become unbelievably picky about the most ridiculous things, to the point where it feels unwelcoming and tense the moment you walk in. And if you have kids? Forget it. This place is absolutely not kid-friendly, despite pretending to be a neighborhood spot.
You can immediately tell from the owner/manager’s attitude (who clearly has kids herself, which makes it even more disappointing) that families are no longer welcome. The looks, the comments, the constant nitpicking — it makes you feel judged instead of relaxed.
A neighborhood restaurant should feel warm and inclusive. Acre now feels the opposite: cold, uptight, and frankly unpleasant.
We won’t be coming back. There are plenty of other places nearby that actually respect families and know how to treat regulars.

Have been going for many years now since they opened in 2020! Food is excellent, service is excellent as well. Great coffee! Don’t get discouraged if you see a line, it moved fast and its worth it!
Went on a Sunday morning for brunch, quick service and the atmosphere was calming. Delicious bento boxes, personally loved the salmon. Perfectly cooked with umami. Will come again

Cute and cozy place. The atmosphere is really nice. Its a little pricey but the amount of food you get is enough to satisfy you. The food is good. Would br more convienent if you dont need to ask for tiny water cups. Everything pretty clean.

Very solid home-cooking-style Japanese food. The line can be long, and I personally wouldn’t wait if it goes out the door because I am impatient, but otherwise it’s a good option if you want to hang with some people over food or coffee in a casual but chic setting.
Pork katsu bento box and the vegan chocolate chip cookies are the stars of the show. Such a cozy vibe. Never a bad time

A must try if you even remotely like a more traditional Japanese type of meal. Everything is fresh and delicious. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait but know it’s worth it

Came here on a whim after some shopping and loved it! The food was so good - was skeptical at first because I wasn’t familiar with some of the items but everything was delicious, hot and fresh.
