This is by far the best Nigerian restaurant in all of New York. You can never have a bad experience here. I travel from Harlem to eat here almost 1 hour on train & foot. Many of the restaurants in NY are hit or miss. Making food too American or Caribbeanized, lacks effort, or overly posh to where the food is inauthentic or underwhelming for the price. If you want REAL Nigerian food, family environment, great portions come here! Especially if you’re an Amala lover like me.

The young lady at the cashier had a NASTYYYYY attitude we travel all the way here for them to not have chicken. She also said if you don’t want goat or fish you may as well not get anything. The place stink. Definitely don’t waste you're time coming here.

The mixed meat ogbono was the worst I've ever had in my life.almost none of the meat is edible. It is all bone. Not sure of what everything else tastes like. But stay away from the ogbono.
the service is great and the food is delicious. It’s a staple in my home
Food is fantastic.. very very good. i ordered efo riro, snails, okro, and jollof rice and everything was spectacular.
The people are very nice but service is slow because food is made from scratch.
The place itself is just okay but I ordered a pick up.
Again, food is very good- emphasis on VERY.

I visited yesterday for the first time because your ratings were high. I am familiar with Nigerian food but not enough so I'm always looking to learn more because I am a descendant and also someone who cooks a lot.
The lady who took my order was very friendly. She couldn't explain to me what garri was but asked one of the ladies sitting there to explain it and she did. I ordered joloff rice with croaker fish. I also got a side of fufu. Everything tasted delicious. I loved the sauce the fish was cooked in but the fish itself was cooked too much. It wasn't soft inside and kind of dry. That was disappointing.

Delicious Nigerian food
Some of the best food I’ve ever had, hands down. If you’re with a crew you absolutely need to come here. Take their advice when it comes to what you’re looking for - everything is absolutely delicious. The nicest folks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in ages as well. We will be back.

The owner Abdul, he showed me and my partner so much love when we walked in. He smiled a lot, he hugged and blessed us so many times and he sang with us. We tried a lot of new foods with Abdul.
The food = Okra Soup w) Goat, Fufu, and Suya was amazingly delicious. My partner and I left with a fully belly and takeout. And we shared a plate!
The atmosphere was immersive. Afrobeats playing in the background, people joking, laughing and singing— it felt like my African family.
Definitely a must try!

The owner was amazing from the beginning of our visit to the end. This man had become family just off of one experience. God bless him, I will definitely be coming back again soon

Be ready to wait! Small and busy. The food is amazing! It's worth the wait, but geez is a little overwhelming for a 1st time visit.
Vegetarian options: There are plenty no meat options.
Kid-friendliness: I recommend the bread! Soft and sweet!

One of my favorite Nigerian restaurants in NYC. I recommend the Jollof rice, ogbono, esgui, okra stew, mixed meat, snails, shaki & goat meat. They have palm wine too. I love this place & recommend this place over the over hyped Lagos Nigerian restaurant in the city. It’s always good food & good vibes here. ??
