This is my favorite Japanese place in New York I go here for my birthdays and special occasions and also just when I’m craving Japanese! The food here is impeccable 😭 the staff is so sweet and kind and the sushi chefs are so talented!

Ordered here for delivery, we weren’t very impressed unfortunately. The quality of everything was great. But $18 for yaki soba and you half filled the container? $6 for lemonade that is truly 99% ice? And my rolls were pretty pitiful, and I’m not even someone who likes them really stuffed with fish. The portion size is just not justifiable for the price. There are sooo many other great Japanese spots in the area that aren’t quite as stingy with their portions.

Staff are nice. Foods are solid. My go-to japanese spot in williamsburg. Forget everything else, Ako is the most consistent, reliable place for you. I got the lunch bento box. Beef was cooked to perfection.
