Some might be hesitant to enter a place with decor reflecting the current war. Personally for me, it makes it more culturally significant and interesting. Now throw away the politics: it’s some of the best falafel in NYC, and for me at least, falafel is a serious food item to be discussed and debated. The shawarma and hummus is also totally legit. Someone told me this place had the best hummus they had ever had so I had to give it a try. Spoiler alert: they were right, the hummus is amazing. I also love the falafel and the chicken kebabs, and the people who work here are very kind and helpful. A perfect neighborhood spot :)
