I had an absolutely terrible experience at Al Badawi. I was served burnt meat and vegetables — not just overcooked, but completely charred and inedible. It's unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that claims to serve quality food. Not only was the food awful, but there was zero accountability. No apology, no replacement, nothing. Just a plate of burnt food and indifference. Save your time and money — this place clearly doesn't care about its customers or the quality of what they serve.

I truly enjoy the food here, especially the Fattat Jaj, and I've been a loyal customer since their opening. I've noticed that some of the ingredients in the dishes have changed, which is understandable as they try to appeal to a wider audience. It’s sad to see, but I appreciate that you can still request those ingredients or extra flavors on the side.

Went for a late lunch during the week and didn’t have any trouble getting a table. Food and service were both great. If you could believe it, there is a halloumi salad under all that chicken shawarma. Labneh was also great and accompanied the meat and spinach triangle appetizers that aren’t pictured. Hot mint tea is a great way to warm up right now in the winter.

This is how food should taste and be served. Our waiter was bloody lovely and explained and recommended some fantastic dishes. The lamb was INCREDIBLE, the seasoning of everything was DIVINE. My first Palestinian meal. It will not be my last. Great place.

The atmosphere is fun and I love BYOB. The bread is delicious. For catering, they are not the most organized. But support Palestinian owned!

Al Badawi is truly a gem for anyone who loves authentic Palestinian and Middle Eastern cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality that makes you feel like family. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with beautiful touches that transport you straight to the heart of the Levant.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. The flavors are vibrant, rich, and deeply satisfying. Their musakhan is a standout—perfectly seasoned and tender, with just the right balance of spices. The fresh-baked bread is heavenly and pairs perfectly with their creamy hummus and smoky baba ghanoush. Every dish feels like it’s been made with love and care.
What sets Al Badawi apart is the attention to detail, both in the food and the service. The staff is attentive and happy to explain the dishes, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a place that serves incredible, authentic Palestinian food in a warm and welcoming environment, Al Badawi is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!

An outstanding restaurant with exceptional service and a great atmosphere. The appetizers were delightful, and the main courses did not disappoint. I especially loved the rice, and the quipes and lamb were absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The mix shawarma was out of this world — likely the best I’ve ever had. I will remember this meal, the atmosphere and music, and the above and beyond service for a very long time. There’s not many restaurants I would go to multiple times in NYC, but this is absolutely an exception. It is worth going out of your way for.
