One of the best places in Brooklyn to have authentic Palestinian food, Rumaisa over here is the best help we had.

Sorry to say, we were disappointed. It is always crowded and has such good reviews, plus we love Mediterranean food, so we thought it would be great. We did not realize that it was family style, until we got our doggy bags-and saw family style written on the bag. Normally the waitstaff would alert you. Ours did not bother to. We enjoyed the mezze and fresh pita, the hummus was really good, but the entrees were just ok,not seasoned or flavorful. Mint tea and desserts were good. I would return for pita and mezze, but not for the entrees. Also it is byob, which was fine. There are shops nearby. Also, fee.for using credit cards, so bring cash if possible.

What a wonderful little place! They were so sweet, we wanted a baklava and they let us in and gave us the dessert in the house! They said happy thanksgiving and we had one of the best baklavas of our life.

We arrived at 11:20am on 11/25/2025. On google it says open at 11:00 am. The guy working told us we are not open yet but I will see if I can get a waiter. We waited for 10 minutes outside by the door and he didn’t come back to let us know anything. If you’re not able to open at 11:00 am then change your hours on google to not mislead customers.
Excellent middle eastern restaurant.
With all the classic dishes like hummus and tabuleh, and good quality shawarma. They don’t have lamb but chicken and beef.
Beet salad was excellent.
Combination appetizer platter was excellent too - recommend it highly.
Overall, a nice experience and great food.

The food was good overall, but it didn’t really meet my expectations. The Mansaf was too oily for my taste, and the spices didn’t quite balance well — it felt a bit heavy. The cheese manakeesh was also overly oily, and the amount of cheese was too much, which ended up killing my appetite.
On the positive side, the atmosphere was nice, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, the food itself was not as satisfying as I hoped — mainly because of the excessive oil and overpowering spices.
Overall, I’d say the restaurant is a bit overrated when it comes to the food, but the hospitality and service were excellent.

They are really not organized. I drove all the way from Connecticut. Before coming I called them and they said just come in and we will adjust you. I drove 2.5 hrs, arrived and was tole you need to wait and wait time is 2 hrs and still nothing. Not recommending this place at all.

Best Mansaf dish I've ever had. They've perfected the way to cook lamb and their traditional recipes are something your taste buds are not ready for. I will definitely come back to this place next time I visit the city.
