Service and ambiance are great here. Seating is a little tight resembling euro style seating, but it didn’t really bother us.
We also really enjoyed the house made cheese and the pork ragu, some of the other items were a little off but I may visit again someday to try it out again.

Shout out to Milo, our epicurean guide. A great meal means fabulous food and ambiance, but not enough credit is given to the server, the culinary enthusiast who sets the tone for the adventure. We started with ZUCCHINI SALAD Ribbons of green and gold zucchini, fresh red chili, mint, onion, shaved Pecorino, lemon juice, olive oil Then shared RICOTTA CAVATELLI- Roasted tomatoes, garlic, chili, creamy lemony ricotta, basil; MALFATTI Swiss chard and ricotta gnocchi, brown butter and sage and CORN TORTELLI Homemade tortelli stuffed with corn and mascarpone, Parmigiano. The meal ended with a mango and pineapple sorbet and a warm pear cake with chocolate pieces baked inside. What is your work schedule, Milo?

More than a sum of it's parts. Al di la is constantly above average, and a great date night.

I’m not someone who usually enjoys fancy restaurants, and I was hoping this place would change my mind. But honestly, any restaurant that charges over $20 for a single scoop of food is not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, the food was fantastic and tasted divine, but charging $20-$25 for 6-8 tortellinis? I don’t care if they were handmade or crafted by the hands of God—that small amount of food on my plate is just depressing.

I went to the bar for happy hour. There was no one else. Which can be a good thing or bad, depending on your mood. Great drinks and food though.

Great local spot with awesome food and a great staff/service. Their commitment to Northern Italian classics and creative specials, coupled with the cozy vibes, makes this restaurant one I’ll definitely revisit. Everything was amazing but the oxtail and cuttlefish polenta and the octopus spaghetti stole the show.

We dined here on a Thursday night after hearing amazing things from friends in the area but it didn’t live up to the hype. The asparagus spears were very thick and bland, the tagliatelle took the definition of “al dente” to a new level and the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. We also tried the straciatella and the pea tortellini which were all edible but not notable. My favorite item was the mashed yukon potatoes served to accompany the chicken. I’m not normally a potato fan but they were delicious. Do yourself a favor and try one of the dozens of other amazing Italian restaurants in New York.

Great food and service but the place is way too loud for a date. Really hard to talk or hear the other person. Hope they add some sound proofing to the ceiling.
