Shawarma was so dry, cooked with disdain for your clients. I assume you taste the food so you know it’s bad. Apparently it used to be very good and something happened to make it go downhill. All of the recent bad reviews attest to this fact. Be honest and explain. It’s disrespectful to charge so much money for bad food.

Incredibly disappointing meal. Half of our parties food came out at completely different times. Shawarma was dry and tasteless, the worst I have ever had. My friend’s falafel after waiting a long time, also was uninspired. Shocking given this places reputation in the past. Staff seemed generally unenthused and the vibe was very off. At the end of it all they add a service charge which one has to wonder why that is... Hope they can turn it around.

Unfortunately this time I went to order I had to wait for almost 10 minutes in order to order. I was looking around I see one of the staff smoking a cigarette in the back??. They are serving food. I will not go back there again. Slow service and now I am smelling cigarette as I was waiting to order.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. After we finished our meal, we were informed that only cash was accepted, which felt like a cheap tactic to make money. They did have an ATM on site, but it felt like an inconvenience. It's unfortunate, as I believe the owner of this restaurant will soon regret these poor business practices. I won't be returning and would advise others to be cautious as well.

So disappointed. This place used to have the best Shawarma in New York. it went downhill I have no idea why. The garlic sauce has no flavor. The chicken is so greasy it’s nauseating. What a shame

Odd experience. Extremely slow for take out. Lots of employees standing around with weird energy. It felt like I was bothering them - like they were surprised they were in business and had customers. Sandwich was ok.

If you asked me 3 months ago what's your favorite place, I will say Al-Sham shawerma, a place I've been going to for the last two years almost 2-3 times a month. But recently, it's becoming so bad, to the limit neither me nor my friends are planning to go there, mainly because the service is so bad, all of the nice people who used to work here left, and majority of the new staff aren't good. The food is taking too long, even on non busy days, 50 minutes to get the shawerma plate is not acceptable! The quality of the dishes declined significantly compared to what I used to eat before. I feel bad for a place I used to like.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First of all, the hygiene was appalling. The place looked dirty, and it made me question how they handle food safety. Cleanliness is key when it comes to dining, and this restaurant failed miserably in that department.
On top of that, they only accept cash, which is incredibly inconvenient in today’s digital age. Most places these days accept credit/debit cards, and it felt outdated and unprofessional.
