I didn’t get my food and they charged me almost $36. Where is your actual address? Or you phone? I want my money back
Ordered online, order was accepted but the restaurant is not open. Tried to call, but getting a message that line is busy.

tried to come in here and buy something to use the bathroom because the one in the park had closed. tried to pay cash and they didn’t have change for a 20, tried to use the bathroom anyway because not having change for a small bill seemed like their mistake and I have a medical issue and it was urgent. they screamed at me and demanded 2 dollars, which I would have given them if they had change. there was no one in there so idk why they couldn’t treat me like a human being. take your business elsewhere! used the bathroom at a pizzeria around the corner after buying a small item with no issue, so if you are looking for basic respect don’t look here. other reviews about service seem extremely accurate after this experience.

Just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a pupusa spot. I ordered pickup and they were so friendly! Can’t wait to be back soon (love the amount of curtido served)

This spot is not great for pupusas. I showed up at 1 PM on a Tuesday and the door was open. As soon as I walked in, there were about five people inside and one behind what looked to be the cooking area. The place did not seem sanitary, with boxes piled up everywhere, more like a bodega than an actual restaurant. I was hesitant to ask for food, but having already made the trip, I powered on. I asked for two pupusas and was told that the kitchen was not open. This is not a friendly spot to visit, in my opinion. Thankfully, Knickerbocker has other restaurants that offer pupusas. I will not be returning here again. The photos on this profile look completely different from the actual place. No idea what happened from the time the photos were taken until now, but you’ve been warned.
As a Miami girl who knows her Latin food, are the BEST PUPUSAS I've had in new york. They're sold in orders of 3 or more & I recommend the mixtas w/ pork, beans, & cheese. It's definitely very hole-in-the
-wall and casual and everyone speaks only Spanish but everyone is also so sweet and they remind me of my tias and tíos. I hope they expand their menu!!

The place is a little dirty, it smells bad ?
You close earlier than what is said online please update your times.
The elderly lady was not polite or pleasant, I ordered one popusa, and she answered, “No, you must order three or more” I ordered three. Okay, but when I asked for a fork and knife, she stated that in El Salvador, you eat the Popusas with your fingers. I will never come back to this place.

Was excited for good Papusas. Ordered delivery. Driver first came without my order. He had to go back to the restaurant. Came back 45 minutes later without 25% of the order.Called restaurant and they were unwilling to send the food they left out. Logistically, this place is a mess. Service is bad and the food was very mediocre. Papusas were dense. Not terrible, but not particularly good either.Definitely wouldn’t order from here again.

We came across this restaurant by chance and the owner was incredibly kind and we ate very well, everything was fresh. A great discovery.
I must express my disappointment with the service provided at this establishment. The lack of management presence was unacceptable and left us without an avenue to address our concerns. I understand that the staff were under a lot of pressure, but the limited drink options and some members of our party having to take their food to go was simply not acceptable. Our experience was extremely unsatisfactory and put a damper on our last evening. It would have been wiser to choose a more direct dining option instead. 3 hours waiting in a restaurant is simply unacceptable.
lady at the cashier was insanely passive aggressive and did NOT want our business. we felt so disrespected and had to leave. she wouldn’t let me order unless i ordered three or more pupusas and made us feel like we were invading her territory. NOT

We wanted to try this spot a try and sadly it failed miserably. First and last time we’ll be supporting this business, we ordered in advance a pick up order and upon arrival were told the tablet isn’t working and the order wasn’t received, we waited 30 minutes for food, the cook/owner stated she has no utensils. No Tupperware and when asked not to mix the toppings for the pupusa she refused stating that is how it’s eaten, as we waited I noticed the messiness of the restaurant and two roaches near the register
