So I pass this bakery all the time and decided to finally give them a try. My First thought was wow everything looks really good. I got excited. I was looking for a pie and decided to go with the sweet potato pie. Can’t go wrong with a classic right, WRONG !! When we cut open the pie, we were appalled to see literal chunks of potato like huh. I’m like okay maybe they don’t make their smooth and creamy like other places. Let me give it a try before I judge further. I tasted it and was even more appalled. Where is the sweet in sweet potato cause this taste like something straight from a can that was dumped on top of a crust. The crust was decent by the way. But I’ve never been so disappointed in a pie. No taste besides for the marshmallows on top. Like did the baker even TRY ? Keep in mind, I purchased this for thanksgiving. Yikes ! The customer service could be better. There was one cashier up front with a long line of people and a bunch of workers in the back but no assistance offered to the one cashier who is not only handling money but also taking out the sweet treats so imagine the wait time when there’s a long line already. I wasn’t aware they were cash only until I went up to pay so that was super annoying. A Cash only establishment in 2025 should have signs posted CLEARLY. I left to go get cash (they DO have an ATM) and I actually returned to get the pie so imagine my disappointment when it tasted so trash. This may actually be good for a diabetic person. Really tasteless. Nothing sweet about it. I later noticed they have one little sign that’s high up and not obvious. I guess looks can be deceiving because I was certainly deceived. Maybe their stuff tasted good years ago because I heard they’ve been around for a long time but this ain’t it.

Ordered apple pie .. and they sent me an apple crumble cake … it was not fresh like advertised and they were not helpful after me notifying them of there mistake and blamed it on the menu mix up, when the menu only has apple pie and apple crumble cake there is no way to confuse the two, and I have proof of receipt where I ordered the right thing … tried eating the crumble cake and it is extremely dry

I ordered a butter cream vanilla cake for a children's party. They gave me pineapple cake and wouldn't refund me for the cake. They claimed that they tasted the cake I returned. Tasted it! Lies. It was a pineapple cake. Never again. And they only take cash in 2025 on top of it. Terrible service

I like italian cookies, especially the finger ones with filling. I tried Aliotta like a year ago and the cookies were horrible; very stale and had a flavor like someone accidentally sprinkled black pepper in the batter. I thought it was an off occurrence due to the positive reviews but went back to my fave bakery for italian cookies, Michael's Pastry, anyway.
Michael's closed earlier this year sadly so I decided to try Aliotta's again and I regret it; the same horrible quality. This time they were even staler with some of their fillings being rock hard. The same pepper taste was also there. I had to toss the cookies. Now that I know this may be a frequent issue, I won't be trying again.
The rainbow cookies I also got were ok (not stale but also not much flavor).
I will say that a friend of mine has given me slices of cake loaves she gotten from here before and they were good which is why I gave 2 stars and not 1. Overall, I am too concerned about their quality and food safety to risk even getting those from here.

This place is an old neighborhood bakery. The pastries are good and this is the place where I had my first Italian cheesecake. It was so delicious.

The carrot cake consists of more icing than cake, the layer of carrot cake ithat is in between the thick layers of icing is tasteless, thin and dry. No taste of carrot cake here, the cake just looks well presented and a waste of time and money and yes it is expensive too.
