I am terribly disappointed with this restaurant today. I ordered a mocktail and they gave me a cocktail with tequila in it. They said to me when I addressed it “well the cocktail and the mocktail have the same name so you have to say which.” First, why would I even be looking at the cocktails if I wasn’t planning on getting one to even KNOW that there was one that had the same name as the mocktail??? They gave me the mocktail after I could taste the alcohol. (Still charged us for the first drink) I’ve been sober for almost 2 years and haven’t had a drop of alcohol. Thanks for changing that today guys. I take my recovery very seriously and this is extremely upsetting that I drank today (even if it was only 2 sips by accident.)
Please change the drink names so this doesn’t happen to anyone else in recovery.
Food is very good.

It has all you can expect for a perfect cozy Japanese experience. From cocktails to wine, sake food and all. We will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. I've been coming here for years—the sushi is always fresh and delicious. Daniela is the best; she always explains what you're about to eat. The best oysters and Hokkaido uni in the world.

Disappointing portion sizes. Ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch bento box and there was barely any chicken… food was tasty but not enough of it to justify the $20 price tag. They also did not include chopsticks despite the 6 sushi rolls in the order

Sushi here is good however the craft cocktails are exceptional. If you’re thinking about hanging out with friends and kicking back with a few drinks, this is the place. Don’t bother going elsewhere in the neighborhood.

I cannot stress the level of expertise and excellence that go into every cocktail. Two thumbs up and keep up with the great job.

I'm sorry, I rarely leave bad reviews but the meal doesn't look that way because it is half eaten, they came barely holding together. I ordered the lunch three roll combo. The yellowtail was slimy and tasted off. The tuna and salmon rolls were decent.

The server Brad was awesome, very chill and the sushi was super fresh. I don't come over to eat in greenpoint often but I might just for this sushi. It's definitely worth a trip.

We went on a Saturday night but it was empty. Staff were prompt and the food and cocktails were amazing. @k_fadul on TikTok in the videos.

run, don’t walk to Amami. This place is the perfect place for casual sushi and takeout. They’re one of the few places in nyc with a fair priced lunch special and don’t slack on the quality of their fish

I was just back from my first trip to Japan. My daughter and I had come to Greenpoint to shop at Beacon's Closet. The best one. It was a hot June day and we were hungry for lunch. Around the corner from Beacon's we found Amami. Perfect. Authentic Japanese without being silly about it. Great food, friendly relaxed ambiance and reasonable prices. Love their logo of the geisha with the old school MTA subway token.

Not bad!

We sat in the back area which was quiet. Had the ramen! Not bad. The sushi was good, but nothing special.

The front room was beautiful. Will have to try it again.

Really high quality sushi in an unpretentious place. Delicious and complex. I was pleasantly surprised and you will be too! The sushi dinner special is the way to go for an excellent chef selection that is stellar quality at an affordable price point.

This is my husband’s and my favorite sushi restaurant in the city. Their sushi is amazing, the prices really fair and the staff is friendly. Would highly recommend!
