My wife and I went to Amber steakhouse for our 20th wedding anniversary. The ambience is nice and relaxing. The staff is awesome. Our server was great and very attentive to all our needs. The food is amazing and we will definitely go back.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by our server Chris who could not have been nicer. The bartender was kind enough to make a beer recommendation for me which I loved and their wine list was very well curated and I'm a wine sales rep! Our steaks were cooked spot on and my friends enjoyed the wine I picked. We travelled in by train and subway from Nassau County into Brooklyn and had a lovely 2 block walk. It was perfect!! Thank You!

First time eating at a high end Steak House. I originally wanted to visit Peter Luger, but was not able to get a reservation. And I am very glad it happened that way. I loved my Amber experience. Staff and food was excellent.

Excellent classic steakhouse with the added bonus of a nice seafood selection as well - along with a good wine list, amazing sides (creamed spinach all day), tasty deserts. Perfect spot for a celebratory meal, and AMAZING service.

I came here to celebrate Father's Day with my husband. We had a late 10pm reservation after rushing to put the kids to bed. Ordering was filled with pressure as the waitress stood over us like a hawk and was pretty pushy. However she did have a good recommendation with the martini. That was a great choice9/10. The calamari was sufficient 6.5/10. The steak was good 8/10. The lobster Mac had NO lobster in it the waitress asked if "' wanted to just be charge for no lobster or get the lobster Mac" I wanted what I ordered. It came out with bits of lobster drizzled throughout much better 7.5/10. The truffle parm fries were the best thing 10/10. The carrot cake was good too 9/10. Overall a good family vibe.

Seamless attention to detail and phenomenal food. I suggest the porterhouse for two & bone-in ribeye. Truly sublime. Will definitely come again.

Second time visiting. Loved the steak The roasted duck legs are amazing. Don't be afraid to get something other than the porterhouse!

The 1st I came here it was on a double date and it was an amazing night near the holidays. The 2nd time I returned with my family and once again, we enjoyed the meal, ambiance of the restaurant and had great service. You cannot beat this small family owned gem right in your neighborhood. Will return sometime in the summer with the lady and some friends. Can't wait to book again.

This is my second time coming to Amber and it didn't disappoint! The service is impeccable, the food is excellent, and the staff is amazing! Started with some Old Fashioned's, perfectly made. The grilled bacon was so excellent. Perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth. Porterhouse for 2 was also perfectly cooked and seasoned to a tee. We also had the shrimp scampi, baked potato with cheese and fries. Everything was amazing. It's such a nice place, I highly recommend!

I wish I could give Amber Steak House 10 stars! I found this place by accident, but so happy I did. We were visiting from PA to attend a local concert and wanted somewhere to eat before the show and found through OpenTable this was the closest restaurant. Everything about this place was OUTSTANDING! It's such a cute quaint and intimate place to have dinner. Everyone from the hostess to entire waitstaff was pleasant and very friendly. Eliza was our server and she was very attentive and helpful. We had 16oz New York strip, truffle fries, house salad, chicken Caesar salad, loaded baked potato, roasted red potatoes and my daughter had a Shirley temple. We cleaned our plates! Lol. That's how delicious the food was. I can't wait to visit again!

Stay away from the bacon strips, terrible quality, Mac and cheese appeared it came from Costco. But the steak was Devine. Overall 7.2/10 - would go again but wouldn't be my first suggestion.

I'm a huge steak person. I usually eat at the Palm or peter Lugar. I decided to try something different than Peter Luger and went to Amber steakhouse huge mistake. I happen to be in Williamsburg and asked a friend for a suggestion and she suggested this restaurant. I was asked by the waitress what I thought of my food I'm assuming she could see I wasn't eating it. I felt bad and proceeded to explain that the mac & cheese with lobster was dry And the cream spinach was too watery. I can go on and on how the shrimp scampi appetizer had no flavor. The dessert was awful. You could just see that we really didn't eat. I will say my husband loved the salad and the oysters he said were amazing I assumed dining out a lot that the waitress would say I'm so sorry. Is there something else I can get you that didn't happen. When we were packing up for the evening she said, would you like to pack this or leave it? I was beyond shocked. It breaks my heart to even write a bad review about a restaurant, but I was just floored that that happened to me. Before even writing this review, I wrote an email to the management of the restaurant and I never heard back at all. I could've taken the $500 and flushed it down the toilet. Needless to say it wasn't a great date night.
