I visited Amber Steakhouse for the first time two weeks ago, and I returned with Ashley P for my second visit. We were both hungry, thirsty, and in the mood for a fabulous meal. We ordered two 8oz Filet Mignon's, and two side's of vegetables. The Filet's were absolutely delicious. They were tender, tasty, and the Bordelais sauce was delectable. We shared a Creme Brulee for dessert, and it was a very tasty. Two glasses of Pinot Noir enhanced the experience. The bill was a bit steep, but most definitely worth it. We will back sooner than later.

I came here with a group early on a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was almost completely empty. After ordering the server with a beard, proceeded to explain to us how we didn't order enough steaks or drinks and that "people don't do that here." He had a condescending, holier than thou attitude that was extremely rude and unpleasant. After explaining to him that several people in our group have dietary restrictions/ don't drink and that we were there to support a friend, he continued to explain that "people don't do that here". And that they have vegetarian options like "seafood and chicken" Fucking idiot Our group felt extremely ostracized, and discriminated against simply for having dietary restrictions. I would not give them any of my money. We took our business to DeStefanos steak house instead. It's about 10 mins away, the food was delicious and we didn't have to listen to the servers two cents on what we wanted to order.

walked into a practically empty restaurant with the largest party in there, two of our party wanted steak but many of us had dietary restrictions and were ready and willing to order sides that corresponded with their particular eating restrictions. Immediately after ordering our waiter began to try to critique the amount of steak or lack thereof that we were ordering and was implying that we shouldn't be dining here because "people typically order one steak per person" and that this establishment was "too nice" for people with dietary restrictions.... as someone who has worked extensively in high end food service I was appalled...extremely passive aggressive service will never be returning even if i wake up one day and decide to eat red meat. edit: we took our business elsewhere to DeStefanos, which is an outstanding establishment with wonderful service and nothing but respect for dietary restrictions, all while exuding elegance and class. your business should take notes!

The bread was warmed in a microwave & got hard quick, Calamari sucked. Ordered a steak Medium-well, came back beyond well done, no pink, no juice, just a dry, fully cooked steak, I didn't want to return it because I didn't want to be "that customer" so we each had one piece and decided to pack it up and take it home since my kid eats well done steak and I can give the bones of my dog. Lobster mac & cheese had no flavor. We told the waiter if they can bring us containers and instead, they took the food to the back to pack it up. Needless to say when we got home, the steak was missing. Paid $130 for it but they never put it in the bag. I called the restaurant and the first guy told me that is "not their problem. I should've looked in the bag", then he said if I left it at the bar, then I can "consider it lost" (We weren't at the bar), he proceeded by explaining to me that I "should've looked in the bag before I left the restaurant" and it's "not their fault if I forgot my bag there" (they packed the food, not us) then he said he's going to pass me to someone else because they get "these types of phone calls all the time"!!! He then passed me to someone else and I explained to them that we never packed our own food. They took the food to the back and forgot to give us our steak. The guy said they couldn't even find our reservation and I said OK let me get your manager's name which I was told is "Andre" but it's a Saturday night and he won't be there till Monday. I asked if I have his name so that I can reference when I speak to the manager who I spoke to this about & the 2nd person said "I don't have to give you that" & hung up on me!!! WORST Service, by far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced & I will be contacting Andre on Monday however I'm gonna contact my credit card first for my refund of my $250 spent there! If I can give them zero stars, that would be my score!

The flavor of the steak was definitely there I just would’ve enjoyed it better the way I wanted it cooked. I feel as though when I asked for medium rare they cooked it for too long forgetting that the plate is still going to cook the steak so now my steak is well done once it reaches the table I also feel like most steak houses will send you out a new steak being that they over cooked your order ,here they just looked at me like “ well that’s how you ordered it” and I’m not sure if the service wasn’t up to par because we were a table of 5 of black folk but I feel for the price the service wasn’t up to par, I didn’t feel the steak house experience if you know what I mean …. I’ve been to other steakhouses where the service was better than the actual food and I would return there than coming back to Ambers . This place opened in 2010 so they’re still crawling but the potential to be up to the more seasoned big names steak houses is definitely there .

First time there. Place is nice, a little stuffy. Parking extremely difficult. Service was good. There is no bar area. Food was good. Had the porterhouse for 2 I like it a little more cooked. Appetizers were good.

Service was ok. The porter house for two was amazing. Wasn't too thrilled with the mushroom and spinach mix. Would have preferred mushrooms by itself. Overall, it was a great experience. I would go back.
