First of all - I NEVER write bad reviews. But I had to. I could cook better in the dark with one arm. Absolutely appalling food. There was ZERO salt, raw garlic, approx 4 pieces of cheese on the entire pizza, canned beets in the salad, no dressing and unfortunately we had to ask the servers at least 2 or 3 times for anything. Also the check was wrong. Please save yourself and do not go. I feel terrible for the staff. They derve better and so does the neighborhood.

It should really be called a 99 Cents Pizza, not a restaurant. We had to wait for our pizzas for 35 minutes and when they brought it to us they were already cold. The quality of the pizza was completely off as well, and not just because they were cold but the toppings they use were bad quality. They call it roman style but of roman there was only the cardboard box they brought us the pizza with - even as we were sitting at the table. When we asked for plates they brought us small plates. Who eats pizza on small plates? In a so-called pizzeria of all places. I guess people who don't know what pizza is. Then they asked us if we wanted silverware 😩 by the time we got the silverware it was time to go home. What a night!

We really enjoy the food at Amorina—always fresh and delicious, and definitely one of the better spots in Prospect Heights for Italian. Unfortunately, the service really detracts from the experience. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and throughout the meal we had to ask multiple times for basics like bread, silverware, and finally the check. The restaurant was also extremely loud, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy. We’d come back for the food, but the service needs serious improvement.

How could anyone not rate this place a 5? OK, you may have to wait but isn't delicious authentic Gelato worth a wait? Especially when helpful employees like Marie keep letting people know how and where they can order?

Spent about an hour and change waiting on some supremely mediocre italian takeout. I got a pizza which - hoped it'd be good given the wait time - was decently overcooked, wet thin crust, no structure, if that makes sense. I employed a supplementary air-fry but there wasn't much that could be done. My partner got pasta which was under-sauced, mid at best. We live in the neighborhood and plan to give this place another shot despite the rough intro, as they did claim to have someone new working, but still. You wait an hour and change for food, you hope to be taken care of. Nothing.
We had the tricolore pizza last night and it was the best pizza we had ever had. It was accompanied by the special salad which was great. We sat outside & it made for a perfect Summer dinner. We highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
