Good ice cream

We love Ample Hills Creamery, one of our ice cream places in NYC. We ordered The Munchies Ice Cream flavor made with pretzel-infused ice cream. Their ice cream reminds us of Ben & Jerries but they have more mix-ins and taste fresher. For example, the Munchies mix-ins are with Ritz crackers, potato chips, pretzels, and crushed M&M’s. We are glad to also see them in stores!

The petite male cashier was extremely rude and I will never buy anything from this place ever again when visiting Brooklyn! He needs to be trained on proper customer service skills and how to provide a more friendly way of saying that they are not allowed to sample any ice cream before you buy it. I completely understand that during the climate of COVID-19. A proper response with a more friendly body language is the difference between someone making a purchase and someone who chooses to walk away based on the negative response and lack of customer service skills. When he is providing services to customers, he must be reminded that he should put himself in the customer’s shoes and ELIMINATE the bad attitude. A bit of training will help with this issue.

They lie about when they close on Google. Update your listing. We walked all this way for nothing. Even the bathroom in this food hall is closed.

I tried Ample Hills a few years ago and got a cookie batter vanilla flavor. It was amazingly delicious and out of this world. Recently, I went back and got a scoop of a peanut butter flavor they had on hand. It wasn’t that great. The ice cream tasted grainy and the flavor wasn’t anything special. I am not sure if the recipes have changed over the years or I just got a bad batch of ice cream this time. It’s sad they aren’t as good as they used to be.
