We’ve been going to Anthony’s Place for many, many years. The food is homemade and delicious. Not to mention that Anthony and his wife Phyllis are two of the best people we have the pleasure to personally know. For well over a decade we’ve never had a bad experience at this Great place.
I usually don’t try to be harsh when it comes to family restaurants but this experience was definitely unpleasant.
When we arrived, we had to stand in a crowded entry way for 10 minutes despite numerous tables being open and us having a reservation.
The service was very poor in general (the waiters looks utterly miserable and every time my husband tried to order something, they just ran away and wouldn’t come up to us unless we called them directly)
We waited over an hour for our food and half of it came out either scorching hot or cold. I’m 90% sure it was microwaved.
Had such high expectations, because it looked very promising, but was extremely disappointed.
Please don’t eat their cheese/pasta. Both of our stomachs hurt a lot after so it was most likely not fresh.

They ruined my evening. I remember this place as romantic restaurant. Fireplace saxophone playing or violin good glass of wine great food ….everything is gone pass them by.Very noisy, bad service, food I expected at least something Italian.I spent money, time they ruined my and my family's evening and the owner knew about it and could not help me.

The people sitting in the next table were so loud and disrespectful to another guest. We did not enjoy the food and atmosphere there.

The restaurant is located in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. They prepare Italian cuisine. The restaurant is large with seating for dining in. I ordered the filet of sole oreganata with linguine. It was good and the pasta was prepared in a garlic and oil sauce. The lasagna was well-prepared and I added two meatballs to the dish. The margherita pizza had a nice thin crust. The restaurant offers a variety of soup, salads, pizza and heroes. Chicken, veal and seafood entrees are also available. Friendly and quick service.

Delicious Italian food served at a great price. Anthony makes wonderful dishes that tantalize the pallet. Enjoy the way Italian food should be in a wonderful environment.

Our families have been here numerous times since Anthony’s has opened, This place has changed for the worst. Food quality has gone way down over time. It’s off the list, won’t go back.
Parking: Metered parking.

Anthony's Place was one of our favorite restaurants for a long time. From Drinks to Dessert, everything was so good.? Wine and Beer Refreshing. Complimentary Bread and Garlic knots are tasty. Appetizers are so good. We had the Zucchini Flowers. The pastry shell was flaky and delicious. Many Delicious entrees. We had pasta. So many tempting desserts. We ordered 3! Highly recommend!

Years ago this would have been my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Now it’s a mess. The prices have become steep, and the quality of the food was cheap. Even the grated cheese tasted awful. And service didnt seem concerned that my visit was unenjoyable.

BEWARE; I arrived 9:15 PM on a Saturday night and was told that the kitchen was closed, so that makes their hours of operation 5-9 not 5-10
When bread is the best part of the food that says it all. Entree was a bland oversalted tasteless mess.

The food is eadible but tasteless. It is evident that the pasta is not homemade. The portions are large. Most of the menu items taste the same, making the choice easy, lol. The menue is half paper, half digital with not a single graphic representation. The service (judging by our specific waiter) is just as horrible. No hello, constant frustration, no English, no familiarity with menue items. No memory of ordered item, no "thank you" for the (small) tip that he shouldn't have the received. Btw. The Cork charge is $35 while their most expensive wine is $28 (bottle). I know that it doesn't make sense, but the mad waiter had barked in broken english: "..we have wine, why bring here?..". Overall, i think this place is worth a visit if the intent is to fill yourself up with food. The portions are definitely generous. It's all in the name " Anthony's place" - they don't even claim to be a restaurant or eatery. So, place it is. Lol.

The service was excellent and the choices were great. Appetizers were outstanding and main course was a nice potion size and so very tasteful .Dessert there was a nice choice and very tasteful . Coffee choices were very good & cappuccino was perfect. So overall our experience was perfect and we most definitely would return.
