I arrived last night at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn at 7:00PM from Abramson Cancer Center in Philadelphia … I must say this hotel is really pleasant … a terrific contemporary industrial feel which is right up my alley … I did a terrible video of the room and even said it was a view of Manhattan when in fact it’s Downtown Brooklyn … be that as it may … oops … I had a burger and fries at “As You Are” in the lobby and it was a great experience … Will & Iggy were fantastic servers who made it their mission to ensure everything was perfect … it was … I had the complimentary coffee at the same restaurant this morning and Lettie made me a wonderful Latte with a design … a terrific start to the day … lastly … I have a parking spot right in front of the hotel which is an amazing gift from above … with the Parking NYC App I just have to add time every two hours and pay the $7.50 … for the day it’s only $38.50 which for NYC is a bargain … remember to LIVE LOVE LAUGH & THRIVE … ???

The Chicken Sesame Salad and BLT were a great combo order - lots of flavor and very filling. Cool ambiance too. Would recommend for lunch time.
Might skip the fries next time though, they were a bit soggy.

Our server/waiter didn't have any customer service skills. He was not attentive, he had no personality, and he was not engaging. He was like a robot. He barely took our order. His body language was so stiff. I watched him to see how he served other tables and his behavior was the same. We had to ask for our honey, and to warm our banana nut bread, and he was late to bring us our orange juice (at the end they didn't charge us for it), all of which was part of our original order. I know we all have bad days and I am hoping this was one of his bad days. If not, hiring managers, you really need to hire people who really want to provide quality service instead of hiring for quantity and cheap hourly rates. The prices at this restaurant were higher than most 4/5 star restaurants I have patronized; therefore the customer service should be top notch.

We came for lunch. The food selection is very limited ( i mean limited. All together maybe 10 items) though the drink menu seems pretty big. The food tasted yummy though. I just wish they had more choices. Like I wanted to order something like avocado toast. They said they can’t do because they dont serve egg at lunch. However when I changed to dragon bowl they offered if I want to add an egg with additional charge. So if they can serve egg, why couldn’t I get what i wanted at the first place? Seems flexibility is needed too. Anyway, the dragon bowl does taste good.

The food was disgusting It took the waiter 20 minutes to come to us, needless to say the restaurant was empty only us and about 3 other couples We ordered the simplest things that could be prepared and we didn't know that it was possible to destroy Avocado toast, omelette, chips The waiter dropped chips on me and was upset that I asked to change The omelette was raw and not cooked properly And on the avocado toast there was fish that was just not fresh! I do not recommend I will not recommend a shocking experience

Pleasant restaurant with good service. Menu items are tasty however customization is not much of an option. Want to add an item to the omelette, not possible, but you can delete one of the three included ingredients. Want to delete chorizo from the juevos rancheros, not possible. That being said, the items we did choose were delicious.

Great experience!! The food and brunch cocktails are delicious, plus the pastries are amazing. Highly recommend the Pastel De Nata! Service was friendly and attentive, and our server gave us great recommendations. Perfect spot/location to bring some friends from out of town!

We went for the St Johns pop-up here on July 29th. We rushed to get there by 6 and found a sizeable crowd outside as they weren't letting anyone in at the appointed time and it wasn't clear why. 20 minutes or so later, they finally started letting everyone in and we sat down for the meal. The first couple of courses were excellent and came quickly and then we started hitting the service snags. Courses started coming slower and slower. The halibut course took over an hour to arrive and the cheese course about the same; unsure why the cut it to order; probably should have been pre-cut? Anyways, we expected to be there maybe 2-2.5 hours, but ended up leaving at 10:30 at night - basically a 4-hour event. Oh, and they overcooked/borderline burned the madeleines. Every last one of them. Sad, really, as we stayed until the end specifically for those. I don't think we'll be doing another pop-up here - not for the kind of coin they're asking for.
This restaurant was a good find. Very nice ambiance and friendly attentive service (only deducted a star because the kitchen overlooked my wife's request for dressing on the side of her salad). Cocktails are excellent, as is the short rib burger, and the bialy bread appetizer. Will definitely add this to our rotation!

We booked a large party at this restaurant for a graduation dinner. We got here late and they still kept our reservation. This place was not crowded. I'm surprised it wasn't more popular. It was terrific, delicious food with a good variety.

I live across the street from this restaurant so it's become a reliable place when I don't want to travel far. Great drinks and food. Always get the burger as part of the dinner. Will be going back again.
