I was the only table in the place, just one person it still took over one hour to get in and out. Had to ask for water, very slow to cook, ceilings, vents, fans, dirty, service, horrible food is just OK.

Wow this was the worst Indian food I've ever had. Disgusting the food tasted sour the garlic Naan had no garlic. Great customer service though, the best Indian restaurant in brooklyn is a stretch to say.

The worst Indian food I’ve had in my life. Ordered on July 27, 2023. Ordered the chicken seekh kabob which was soooo dry and no flavor whatsoever. The garlic naan got hard in literally a minute. The butter chicken was okay but the color was yellow which is not the traditional butter chicken color. The Chana masala was okay too but hardly any spice/flavor and extremely liquidy. The lamb biryani was so tasteless. My total came up to about $65.00. My significant other and I literally ate 1/4 of the meal and threw the rest out. Also the restaurant had absolutely no customers and it was around 6:00 p.m. It looked extremely dirty inside and dark. If you want to eat Indian food this place is not the place to go to. As a South Asian this is a disgrace to Indian food.

Good Indian food! We ordered the paneer with peas, it tasted good but had too many peas and not enough sauce. Butter chicken was good as well.Service was slow but there is only one guy doing orders and working the register.

Chicken tikka was ok- but the samosas was dripping in oil even through the bag and they gave me fully frozen condiments- yuck!

Worst Indian restaurant ever!! Today 7/9 was my first visit there as i recently moved a week ago n the door was always locked but it was open tdy n I went in. I was hesitant to go inside as the doors were open only 3 tables in the front n then they blocked off with chairs bikes etc looks like some kind of storage room. Very dirty n smelly. I thought maybe the food will be amazing so I can overlook all this. While sitting there few door dash n delivery guys will come in n stand nxt to my table to pick up their orders. It wasn’t fine dining by any means. I am an Indian woman who herself is a great cook but always eager to try out. I ordered paneer makhni & onion kulcha. There is a 80 year old man who looks like to do the waiter, cashier & serving food. It takes him forever to go from one corner to another. I was starving n waiting for food & the only customer there still took them one hour to prep. One bite of food it was disgusting. Tasted like I am eating a dessert . No spice ratio. I left most curry n rice. It was not edible. Any Indian will know what authentic Indian food is. I need to warn Indians not to try their food as it’s flavorless n tasteless. American customers who try first time may not know. I know lot of Americans who knows how it tastes. This is not worth trying. The 80 year old man I talked about he has a lot of attitude. I told him that so much food is left as I didn’t like a bit even I was starving. One bite of that food & l lost my appetite. Then comes cherry on the cake. Bill was $20.31. On the menu he gave me the dish paneer makhni was $11.95 n was charged $12.95. When I asked him why he says it’s the old menu so I said you should tell me n inform me that the price is higher. Then it says on the bill charge $3. I questioned him what’s that for?? I was told that’s the table charge as I sat in the terrible heat n sweating n mopads n delivery guys are inches away from me. I thought he will be courteous to apologize for any inconvenience. Not so!!! He was actually very rude and wanted the tip. I thought he must be dreaming. I walked away hungry & picked up some Chinese food to change the disgusting taste of my mouth. Eat at your own risk @Ashoka you have been warned!!!Extremely unhappy customer

Indian food at its worst Served @ Ashoka grill in Brooklyn!! Sadly I went to this restaurant yesterday 7/9/23 at around 1:30 pm. No wonder it was totally empty. I didn't want to enter as looks like a dirty storage area things are on top of each other. Mopad guys with helmets n park rite next to u as there r 3 tiny tables in the front. Whole area is open so you have to eat right in the open with july humidity. I am a Punjabi Indian & know very well how good Indian food taste like. Level 1-10 it's 0 not even 1. Pls try for yourself if you don't trust me. If we r talking about staff in this place. There is a 80 year old man who answers phone calls, bring food to the table, bring delivery orders, take orders on phone n in person who will dare enter that place as I was stupid to do it. Another staff member would be the chef. I saw their b rating as it's so dirty people got food poisoning I read those reviews. would have been forgiving if the food turned out to be amazing. They want to charge same or higher like their competitors but provide 0 service n disgusting food. I will warn especially Punjabi food lovers please never order or eat in because it's that bad!!!! Business being so slow for them still took an hour to make that meal. There was zero spice but added lots of sugar. Tasted more like a horrible dessert. The old waiter/receptionist/taking orders I told him all that food I cudnt eat n told him there was no flavor. Instead of apologizing his response was do you want to take it home. I didn't eat because it's disgusting why would I take it home. After I complained I can't believe the 80 year old has a lot of nerve to hand out the bill where it says $3. I asked what's that n his response is you ate here so u used our table n that's table charge. I can't get over that. He didn't try to make it up to me in anyway. He was way too much argumentative. I paid n ran out n go to my fav Chinese food to forget this nightmare. Never again Ashoka grill

Ok, so I tried to order food from this restaurant online tonight 6-3-23. ashokagrills.com. Their website led me into simplemenus to complete payment. After I paid I waited about 20 minutes for a confirmation email. When I called the restaurant, they informed me they don't do business with simple menus. I told them I don't either, but their site had led me into that platform. The owner didn't take any accountability for the website issue. Now, I have to chase whoever simplemenus is to get my money back. Worst of all, it was late, so I missed a chance to order food somewhere else. Maybe the food is good if you go there, but if you try to order online you'll be on the Ashoka diet since the food never shows up. My apologies to the chef, since this is logistics issue that the owner should take responsibility for. Make me wonder about the walk-in.
