Aunts et Uncles is a rare gem — great food that is reported to be completely vegan. Each time I have gone the food has been fantastic. Everything feels balanced as a meal, cooked and prepared well, and flavorful with good texture. Nothing has ever felt raw or bland.
Also, the atmosphere is quite nice. A great relaxing spot for a nice dinner. It is a smaller, intimate space but a few different seating options.
Additionally, the servers have always been friendly and attentive.
Favorite dish: Cryin Ryan

Grew up vegetarian, became veganish 7 years ago. I cook vegan & live in California a Mecca of sorts for veganism. This is a B.O.B so I'm not going to beat them up but I'll just say I appreciate the effort & wish them the best. The Sorrel was absolutely to die for so keep building in that direction. Respect!
Dietary restrictions: They ask if you have allergies so you should be ok
Kid-friendliness: If your kids are vegan or vegetarian they'll be ok, if not there is a burger chain on the corner.

During the summertime, we had an opportunity to visit the Little Caribbean neighborhood in Brooklyn. Here, we found this lovely spot, a plant-based, vegan friendly restaurant. We heard great thing about them, so we decided to try it out.
We were there for a brunch, so we started off with Latte with Macadamia Milk. The coffee was really good, and macadamia milk provided nutty flavor, which was great.
For food, we ordered So Simple Chicken Samich, and Cryin Ryan. I added a side of fries to the sandwich, on the menu said additional $3.50, but the actual charge was $4. The total came out to be $23, felt a bit pricy for sandwich and fries.
The fries had maybe Cajun-type seasoning (?) with a kick, giving a flavorful spicy flavor. It was really good! The “chicken” or crispy oyster mushroom also had a little kick, juicy and delicious. The vegan cheese felt apart as I ate, not the best kind for a sandwich in my opinion for that reason. Messy to eat but so worth it!
Cryin Ryan is made with Roasted Cauliflower, and we ordered the half. And the half was quite huge! The cauliflower had the perfect texture, and the top and outer edges became almost like a soft ground meat texture. It had a little sweetness mixed with a strong spicy flavor. It was delicious!
We loved our food so much, we decided to push our luck with a dessert. We ordered Pudding Cake. On the menu, it said $14, but the actual charge was $15. Not sure the reason why the charge on some things are different from the listed price. The cake was warm and very moist, sweet without being too sweet. Whipped cream was more like white-colored sauce, without much flavor. Not the best dessert.
Overall, we had a really nice brunch here. The staffs were super friendly and welcoming. The food was quite tasty. Again, the price point might be a bit higher on some items, but I say it was worth every penny.

Got the lobster roll and the chicken sandwich. The lobster roll was INCREDIBLE! The chicken was also good just a little too spicy for me! Awesome must-try vegan spot!

Aunts et Uncles is one of my favorite neighborhood cozy spots. This intimate (maybe) 25-seater is perfect on any day, any season, any weather. I'm not even vegan and I love everything on their menu!!!
This is my go-to meet-up spot for first meetings when I'm unsure of my guest's dietary needs — It's always a win! Equally as memorable as the food, is their signature cocktails.
Congrats to Mike & Nic for this stellar contribution to Little Caribbean and Brooklyn, that transcends healthy food, with a heavy focus on fellowship and artistic freedom.
Honorable mention to Makyla, she's an absolute gem and always brightens up my day. Keep up the great work fam!

I wish I could give 10 stars instead only 5 because Nicole and Mike have created a gem of a place, the burger and everything green salad is incredible flavors galore. OMG incredible. Today 2-14-2021 adding to my first review, Nicole and Mike have outdone themselves with the heirloom linguini pasta, when the lady of the house makes your pasta you would swear she invented it and not the Italians, my goodness the tomatoes and sauce and I got lucky because Mike made some garlic bread for me, Nicole has a diamond hand, and the pasta reflects it, they just keeps getting better and better, if you go have the pasta plain and if you're lucky and Nicole is on the grill your experience will be magnified. 12/02024 When you think Aunt's etc Uncle's can't get any better you will be surprised, in the face of adversity with city regulations designed to hamper small businesses Mike and Nicole just upgraded with their flavors, the Lasagna is absolutely amazing (people should be running to get this dish) and the mushroom skewer bowl is like eating a way healthier jerk chicken filled also with immense flavors like the Lasagna, I just love the food.
