This cafe has a decent ambiance, but the customer service I received left me disappointed. I ordered the cheese and egg croissant, and asked for it to be heated. When I bit into the croissant the egg and cheese center was cold. I brought it to the employees and one of the ladies replied, “I know you couldn’t have known it was cold, but since you bit into the croissant we can’t reheat it.” While that makes total sense and didn’t ask to have it reheated, why not offer a new croissant that you can heat properly? Disappointing.

I visited from California today and all I could think about was how fantastic the baristas were. They put a smile on my face even though I started the day in quite a bad mood. The two girls that were working gave me compliments and confidence to last the next 10 years. The coffee was nothing short of fantastic too. The young man with the mustache made me a lovely latte and was kind enough to tell me to have a good day even though it was busy and his hands were full. I thought the whole shop had a great vibe. I could tell everyone both loved their job and loved their baristas. I highly recommend AVAbrew if you're ever in the area.

Seems like a nice place, and I was keen on trying their coffee, but for 2 reasons, I am not drinking out of a paper cup (and this is all they have on offer, even for "to-stay"- orders:1. Coffee does not taste as good as from a real cup.2. It is wasteful and really quite unbelievable that in 2023 we are still wasting resources like that.Please get some real cups and I will revisit my review.thank you.Planet Earth

The guy working here couldn’t care if you lived or died. Went in to get an iced matcha and he barely said a word to me while looking at his phone the whole time. Even while he was making the drink, he was on his phone. Also the matcha was super clumpy. But the inside is decorated really nicely!
Visiting NY from Savannah, GA. Ava's was around the corner from Aloft, the hotel I'm staying at. Easy to walk to from the hotel. Super quiet, staff is friendly, smells amazing in here. The almond croissant was yummy and fluffy and flakey! The macchiato was very strong and tiny... not what I'm use to but not bad!

Excellent coffee and wonderful staff.A nice place to sit in downtown Brooklyn or meet friends. People who work here are really nice. The drinks always come out super fast.I wish they had some healthier breakfast items like low fat yogurt or whole grain sandwiches but that might be what the Brooklyn clientele will buy these days.

I had an order for pick up from ‘too good to go’. I arrived at the location at 4:55 and the pickup time is till 5pm. It was already closed and when I spoke with the staff she was EXTREMELY RUDE saying” i don’t know what to tell u, we don’t have it” and “we r closed come back another day” and when I asked more questions she started raising her voice and repeating “I dont know what to tell you we don’t have it” with an attitude so I walked away.

Does AVA Brew have amazing coffee? Yes. But you already knew that. Let me tell you what really makes this place wonderful; what REALLY keeps me coming back time and time again: David, Chandler, and Shaun! These three are absolutely a joy to be around. Not only is the service here amazing (I blink and my latte is in my hands, I kid you not!) but they are absolutely sweet! Chatting with them every morning is the highlight of my day! The cafe is always spotless! And the ambiance is so warm and inviting! I would give 6 stars if I could!Parking: Icon Parking Lot down the blockWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, flatDietary restrictions: Many options to choose from
