Terrible service. I ordered an iced coffee and waited for 20 minutes without any update. Then a customer walked in — after I had already been waiting 20 minutes — and she got her iced coffee within a minute. I asked about my order and got no response. Eventually, one of the staff went to the back, made my coffee, and handed it to me with attitude. No apology, no explanation.

Small cash only banh mi shop that offers other vietnamese snacks and appetizers. Cold cut sandwich (#1) was authentic, had a nice balance of veggies + meat and vietnamese coffee was also noteworthy. For the food price and quality, it was worth the visit and deserves a comparison to Thanh Da next time im in the neighborhood.

Best banh mi I had in New York! I also grabbed the avocado shake, papaya shake, pandan cake, banh beo, and mung bean cake. Everything tasted amazing and the folks are so sweet. Definitely would recommend grabbing to go and having a picnic at Sunset Park.

Super legit Vietnamese breakfast and lunch spot. Banh mi and meat over rice dishes. Great crusty bread, lovely vegetables, and meat/protein options. Feels like aunties running a hole in the wall shop. Great vibes and energy. Affordable, fast, legit.

Went here specifically to try the avocado shake and omg it was so good, creamy and not too sweet. It was reasonably priced at $6, just be aware that this place is cash only. I’d drive back to this area just for the sake! And the staff was really friendly! Would love to come back and try more.

$8 for a somewhat perfect pate and ham sandwich! I wish I lived closer.

This sandwich shop is truly iconic, with a history spanning over 30 years. Ever since I moved into the neighborhood ten years ago, their menu has remained completely unchanged—a testament to how well-loved it is. They offer eight classic baguette sandwiches, and the pickled carrots inside are marinated in white vinegar, giving them a refreshingly tangy flavor that’s especially perfect for summer.

One important thing to note: they only accept cash, so make sure to bring some with you if you’re planning to visit.

In the summer, there are also hidden menu items available at the front counter, like spring rolls filled with vermicelli noodles and shrimp. These items aren’t listed on the main menu, but you can just grab them and pay at the counter.

And if you’re lucky, you might spot an “outside” menu on display—featuring quick hot meals like fried rice, fried noodles, spring rolls, and shrimp-based dishes. It’s super casual, fast, and surprisingly flavorful.

If you’re looking to explore the local food scene, this is one spot you absolutely can’t miss—a true neighborhood classic.

Amazing food and hidden gem near Brooklyn's Chinatown. You just try their egg and shrimp with the chili sauce. (I'm not sure what the real name of this dish is.) Most of the foods are out on display so that you can just grab them and pay. The seating area is pretty cramped.

I got chicken sandwich as takeout. It’s okay but the flavor isn’t as good as other banh mi stores. There’s this weird taste that I can’t really name out, but otherwise it’s okay to eat. There’s no spicy sauce but jalapeño, so to cover the taste of the meat, I used really spicy sauce.

I always love supporting the local shops This particular restaurant used to have two different locations they used to have a location right on 7th avenue 61st between 60th Street I've been supporting them for 20 years. Compare to how they make the sandwiches back then to now they skimp on so many things being partial Vietnamese, I can accept the fact that New York City banh mi uses Italians heroes rather than a baguette. myself You have put a sufficient around a meat they put like a thin slice of each oh I taste now is vegetable and bread they don't even take out the inside of the bread anymore like they used to. They stop giving the barbecue meat nem nuog A long time ago now they are skimping on the meat portions, I'm upset I can no longer come here and enjoy the sandwich like I used to. That old lady boss walks away when I tell them I know how your sandwich is used to taste compared to how it tastes now.

Best place to go to grab a banh mi! If you're a vegetarian, you can get one with egg instead of meat. Delicious and very reasonably priced
