I’ve gotten takeout coffee a few times. Twice it was lukewarm. Iced latte was basically milk and ice

I had a terrible experience here. It was my last day in NYC, and a friend stopped by to have a quick chat and a drink with me. We both ordered drinks and some snacks. After that, the staff repeatedly asked if we wanted to order more, but we politely declined.

The waitress’s expression quickly turned unwelcoming—as if she wanted us to leave. When we asked for the check, she came over with a cold attitude and immediately started clearing everything while we were still sitting there.

I would never come back and hope they close down.

TERRIBLE. I PAID 27 DOLLARS PICK UP ORDER. JUST FOR COLD SOUP THAT WAS LEAKING OUT EVERYWHERE, A BOX THAT WASN’T PROPERLY CLOSED AND THE SMALLEST PIECE OF SALMON EVER. THAT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS JUST PUT IN THE MICROWAVE. Terrible, I am very disappointed.

My visit to BabaCool was a bad experience. The service at BabaCool did not live up to its name. The food was good but the service was terrible!
I don’t know if they were understaffed but it took forever to get our order taken. Once they brought the food it was the wrong order. No one could fix it, the server who took the order didn’t even know what we ordered. Once we got the right order, we were able to enjoy a good meal. We had the babafries, the meguelz sausage and the rice noodles. When it was time to pay the server again was just rude and we asked to split the bill and not even that could he do right, which he didn’t say sorry for and just walked away.
Alright food,
Terrible service!
I’ll go to any of the other places around, much better experiences.

Really cute spot with a great vibe! The atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed brunch or catching up with friends. The food was solid, nicely presented, and flavorful, though I was hoping for a bit more variety or boldness. Service was friendly and attentive for the most part, but there were a few delays here and there. Overall, a cool place worth visiting if you’re in the area!

Ducked in off the street with a friend, after an event at Center for Fiction, and was seated quickly. It felt like I already knew this place. Has the feeling of an Andor set somehow, in the best way—and the menu is so charming and fun. Had their martini and Bar Salmon, my friend had a mocktail of their Very Good Cocktail, and that and the charming servers told me I’d be back and with more friends. Very happy to have something like this across from BAM.
