We came here with high expectations of finding authentic Venetian food, since we come from that region...but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. We ordered two cicchetti with baccalà mantecato, which were nothing like the og version. Worse, it was served warm, on a micro piece of bread, when it should have been a cold, mousse-like texture.
We also had the parmigiana and the bigoli in salsa. The bigoli were good, but the parmigiana was shameful—barely warm, lacking character, and far from comforting. Speaking of comfort, the atmosphere and service were just as cold and impersonal as the parmigiana.
We finished with the tiramisu, which seemed to be made by someone who has no idea what a proper tiramisu should taste like.
I'm sorry, but I was highly disappointed, seeing also the check. Non ci siamo proprio...

The website had a more interesting menu even for lunch time, but they had a very limited & basic brunch menu only.
It was our first visit. We went on a Saturday night, and the atmosphere was very loud with music and people, so it wasn’t a relaxing experience for us. We ordered the meatballs, Bolognese pasta, and eggplant parmigiana, but unfortunately, all the dishes were extremely salty. I typically enjoy salty food and prefer to add salt to my taste, but the salt level here was overwhelming. It would be great if the dishes were seasoned more moderately, allowing customers to adjust the salt as needed. People and service were good.

The terrible service was saved by the really delicious food. Rude staff that were just talking amongst themselves while customers were waiting.
The food was great, we ordered the Caesar salad and the meatballs. Caesar salad had an amazing crunch to it with a fantastic and homemade Caesar dressing. The meatballs were meaty, well balanced, and were served with an amazing tomato sauce.

Had dinner at Bacan last week and the service was very poor. The food was not that good either. I would not recommend based on the price and overall experience.

If you want to eat today this is not the place. Took over an hour to get food. Pretty sure the waitress did not put in the order and realized. Didn’t own up to it.

There is nothing wrong with Bacan, you can feel there is a lot of good intentions behind the restaurant, it just somehow feels a little chaotic.
Service was friendly from the start, the waitress was helpful in navigating the different options and we ordered a lot of small plates.
Decoration is minimal with mostly white walls and a few posters. The tables are too small to accommodate both serving plates, wine, water and the dishes. And since they tend to bring everything at the same time, it quickly becomes awkward to eat as you manage table real estate.
The standout dish was the fritto misto: it came out piping hot, well seasoned and one the best batter we have eaten all year. Bravo 👏
The suppli came in lukewarm which somehow tampered our enthusiasm for the dish but the taste was really good.
Both the chicory salad and the agridolce toast were beautifully paired, the taste was awesome in both cases. Overall, good price/quality ratio on food.
Service was somehow chaotic, different people serving us felt a little impersonal, dishes coming all at the same time and too small of a table. Still positive but room for improvement to smooth out the service. Personnel seemed completely overwhelmed.
Recommended if you are in the area.
P.S.: please leave a 👍 if you found this review helpful in directing your choices, thank you 🙏

Bacàn has quickly become my go-to spot for a chill night out. Nestled near Domino Park, this Italian restaurant offers great mix of entrees and small bites. The wine list and cocktail selection complements their menu perfectly.

Subpar service - the people next to us sat down and ordered 15 minutes after us but got the same appetizer we ordered before we did. All of our food came at once and the chicken Milanese was seasonless. However the rice balls were good and the spicy rigatoni was delicious.

The owner Nico welcomed us in his northern Italian restaurant. His attention and care made us want to come back. The quality of the ingredients are amazing. Prices are very reasonable. It’s a real Italian spot in Brooklyn.

Super fun atmosphere for a date night. We got a bottle of wine and some appetizers. The croquettes needed more sauce and the gnocchi was incredibly grainy and lacked flavor. Next time we’d just come for drinks. Although, they didn’t have the original bottle we ordered and we were forced to go with a more expensive bottle without consideration by the waiter of the price difference.

Terrible. Food was cold and service was extremely slow. Very disappointed as the ambience is nice. Would not recommend especially with all the good Italian spots in
