I been going here over the years.. and my last trip had Tikka chicken and lamb chops. I ended up with stomach pain that lasted for some time.. never coming back.

I've been eating from this place since it opened. The food used to be marvelous. Then they eventually changed the main chef and food wasn't as wow like before. Still I would go for soup and sesame chicken sometimes. Recently when I took out chicken corn soup, they informed me that they have raised prices from $5 to $7. I understand things are getting expensive but you cannot use that as an excuse to raise a small container of soup from $5 to $7. Problem with Desi people is that as soon as they hear price had increase, they start increasing price of their selling goods too but they forget the saying " naqal ke liye bhi aqal cahie hoti hay" . Instead of randomly increasing price of your food that has almost 0 improvement, first improve your food and then slowly increase the price. Think about it!!!!

The Place was clean, family friendly and great for large group gathering. I would give it 3.5 out of 5.Although the place is called “Halal Chinese & Afghani Cuisine “it’s not Authentic Afghani food, I would say it’s more of a Pakistani Fusion of Afghani Food. Don’t get me wrong, the food was quite good but spending time in Kabul, you tend to see the difference between Authentic Version and Fusion just as same as anyone would when they visit China and eat “Actual Chinese Food” compared to the American Fusion version - completely different …I loved the Chinese Dumplings, quite nice in flavor – Highly Recommend it. The shrimps we had were somewhat chewy – a little overdone … The Kababs and Food were good in flavor but compared to Afghani version, you will find it somewhat more flavorful/spicy (hence the Pakistani Fusion). The Meat quality I would say has taken a big hit since new management came in, they should work on this. Also, I have noticed how the meat is no longer being served the way it used to, meaning the proportion of Fat to meat has changed either this is because of change of meat supplier or the fact new management does not understand this concept.

100% Halal and Delicious!!! I come here often and the food is beyond amazing!! The fries, the fried dumplings, and sesame chicken with rice are our favorite and go to. The wings were okay, they were a bit over cooked. Their afghani pulao is very delicious as well! 10/10 would recommend!

There was a half smoked cigarette in my food. The food itself was subpar at best, the orange chicken was so small, stringy and dry, despite being covered in sauce, that it felt like eating a twig.

Afghani Chinese food - Afghanistan in Little Pakistan, Midwood, Brooklyn - Bahar MasalaEvery country has its own version of Americanized chinese food, from Guyanese-Chinese, Indo-Chinese, Peruvian-Chinese, Scottish-Chinese, and the list goes onThis was the first time I’ve seen and heard of Afghan-ChineseWhen I walked in, the staff explained that the Chinese food had an Afghan twist to it. Interesting for me, because I barely ever even had Afghan food in the first place. I loosened my belt and sat down, because I knew this was going to be a big mealIf you want the full experience - go on the weekends where they have an all you can eat buffet. This will allow you to try as many of the Afghan/Chinese fusion dishes as possible (if its still offered?)- Eating my way through offbeat immigrant-owned small businesses in NYC...Instagram: Eat_the_Immigrant_NYC

Very disappointed. My husband stopped by today, 20 minutes before the time of Maghrb, and asked for one table.. the place was busy and the cashier told him there was no available tables, then my husband asked him if they could prepare food for him for take out and the cashier again responded no, that they were busy. I just cannot believe that an afghani restaurant is denying to serve food during Ramadan or just simply deny it to a customer! This is very upsetting and hope they realized the bad action.

Open from 1230pm to 930pm. The last few hours they have a buffet of halal Chinese food and reservations are required. Next time when I visit..will take pics.
