the food is good but the customer service is horrible. The male cashiers are way nicer than the woman, most of the women are usually rude, stush, rolling their eyes or talking with an attitude like they don’t want to be there & don’t let you go there in the morning. Lord, they look at you like “why are you here”. I get It, It can be a demanding job with people, talking all day, repeating the same thing, on your feet. I get It, but I kind of don’t. A smile don’t cost nobody nothing, you never know who’s who & who does what these days.

You know they say the number one rule in business is “The customer is always right”? Well, not for this Tobago & Trinidadian business. I’ve had their bake and saltfish at least three times. It’s not a Guyanese bake and saltfish, but it’s decent enough to hold me over.

Yesterday, my husband called to find out if they had crab curry (different folks, different strokes), and the man on the phone asked us “What?” twelve times before finally, and rudely, saying, “It’s curry crab, sir. And yes, we do.”

Granted, we weren’t mad at the correction, but the fact that he had us foolishly repeat ourselves so many times just to get smart? Unnecessary and ignorant.

At the time, we didn’t even realize it was a T&T-owned business. I’ve been to plenty of Guyanese establishments that cater to a wider T&T crowd, so that’s not the issue. It’s the attitude and lack of basic courtesy for me.

Safe to say the place isn’t Guyanese-friendly and I won’t be back. And no, I never got the crab curry.

I haven't been here in a while.Decided to stop by and buy a chicken roti. The service was great, the portion size of the roti was good. What I didn't like was the roti skin wasn't soft ,it was a bit thick at the edges.I ask for extra gravy to be added, because from past experience, some times the roti could be a bit dry. There's a lot of good dinner combinations to be had. Try the stew chicken,or oxtails with macaroni pie,or rice and peas, and callaloo,or different beans, with vegetables. They also offer different soups, offered on different days.

Today the 9th February 2025 , I went to Bake&Things I bought 8roti skins and 2 Buss up shot, 2 doubles . That roti was from Saturday or Friday, it was hard, oily, stale and HORRIBLE . I called the shop immediately and spoke to the owner/manager. The lady said it was not , but she was lying. At least they could have given it to me for half price. It was like $3.00 each ,the doubles was ok ,not great ,the busses up shot was HORRIBLE too . Their grade is a 10% out of a 100, tasteless .

I don't know what happened. Someone must have changed the recipe for the buss up shut and roti because they're no longer soft and buttery. What I got recently was stiff. Go back to the original recipe.

This place has always been a pinnacle in our community but over the years the quality and care has definitely changed. Placed and order for a few bakes and doubles day before. Paid and everything. Pick up for next day 10am. Not only did they call at 10:08a and said it was ready . 11am still not ready. Not a good look guys do better please.

The food was deserving of 3 stars but the service ruined the experience.

The employees attitudes are bad. Whoever said "you know their food is good when they have an attitude" needs to stop because that's completely false. The potato they have for their roti lacks flavor and tasted watery. They did not get my order right by giving me a hard, stale buss up when I asked for roti skin. They won't be getting a next dime from me.
