This bakery has been around for many years. it may not look very good and the assortment is small. but the buns are fresh and made with soul. in general, one can only imagine how hard it is for them to survive in modern conditions. but they are good fellows continue to support the neighbors. these little shops are the real soul of the city.
Been going to Big City Bagels for over 30 years. Since the pandemic they cut down on the different varieties of bagels. But what they have is absolutely delicious. The way Bagels supposed to be made. I also love there coffee. The people behind the count are very polite and attentive.

I don't care what anyone says, this place has the best bagels in NYC. First of all, they are normal sized. Many of the bagel places in NYC make oversized bagels, and the texture is never correct. Second, every time I go, they seem to be fresh. If you want the freshest, get the plain. Third, and most important, is the texture. A great NYC bagel is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
