This place gets a 10/10 because they have the most spectacular live trio cover band on Mondays and Thursdays. Only go if you want to have a SPECTACULAR time out with friends after dinner. If you aren't into fun, this is not the place for you. It was a riot.
Bar Tabac is a beloved and staple French restaurant in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. We chose this place for our Christmas Eve dinner.
The place and ambiance are casual, cozy, and unpretentious. We were given a table for two at the back of the restaurant (we didn’t realize the place is quite spacious).

Bar Tabac is one of the last true French bistros around, and it delivers every time. The food is authentic and full of flavor, the wine selection is excellent, and the service is always on point. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed — it feels like being transported straight to Paris without leaving Brooklyn.
What else can you ask for? A real neighborhood gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves French cuisine.
