Bar Toto was a very cozy and inviting spot to dine on a chilly evening. The server was immediately welcoming despite the busy dining room and said we could sit wherever we were comfortable. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to describe the components of the cocktail I ordered, which was perfectly made and delicious.
Food-wise, the pizza was excellent and the burrata was seriously the best I’ve ever had—it came with pesto and baby tomatoes, which I’m not usually a huge fan of, but I will be dreaming about it! Apparently this place has been around for decades, and it’s not hard to see why. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

We went at lunchtime on a Monday and we were alone... the food was delicious but if you order a ham pizza and among the ingredients is arugula you don't expect the arugula to cover the pizza... it's removed and that's it but ...

Penny is a gem and honest. Friendly and lovely FOH staff. My favorite go-to is house-made orichiette pesto. We opted for Caesar salad, organic salmon, eggplant parm, and tiramisu this time.

Been here several times, service has varied from great to unwelcoming depending on who the server is. Food seems overated for what it is, but ok enough. Drinks are good. Haven’t gone in awhile as the last time was one of those bad service days.

Slowest service ever. One server one bartender but the server doesn’t speak much English so the bartender had to take all orders. Shrimp kale salad was pretty good.

I’ve been going to Bar Toto for 30 years and it always is a delicious meal. Their dishes are consistently tasty and they give generous portions. The restaurant is located on an adorable park slope corner which makes it great for people watching while enjoying a drink and meal outside.
I recently had their mussles and they were out of this world good, and they have the best fries! Looking forward to many more meals!
