Excellent place to go to hangout, only suggestion to improve upon is more bar food, but that's just me being picky, otherwise an amazing time and an amazing selection of beers.

Very nice arcade place lots of retro arcade systems takes you back to time ike in the 80s and 90s
The arcade games selected were great. Be aware that some might steal your tokens, but I’m sure the staff could help with that.
One bartender was more curt when asking for recommendations, but that’s New York

Props to Barcade for being one of few places in Brooklyn where I can perfectly marry the games of my youth with the drinking privileges of adulthood. With rows of vintage quarter games, sporting colorful joysticks and absurdly simple 'kick' and 'punch' buttons, Barcade is a time warp of sorts, allowing grown men and women to rediscover a love affair with Atari and Street Fighter. I am not so prideful that I wouldn't admit to spending many nights trying to defeat the high scores on Tetris, with plenty of cheap well drinks fueling me through the more intense levels. A decent selection of beers are on tap (including one hard cider that tasted just like fizzy apple juice, just the way I like it) are made all the more attractive by the $1 off happy hour prices and simple bar snacks are available, though be forewarned - oily potato chip fingers present a slip risk when trying to furiously tap the button that pulls a character's special hadouken move.
Recent trips have revealed some new developments, such as a token system (so no more using the change machines for your next day's trip to the laundromat) and a number of new games, such as Star Wars and a multi-player touchscreen PacMan game. Some nights are busier than others, which might mean queueing up for your game of choice, but there are plenty of other things to occupy your wait time. Besides tons of other games, there are large, rustic picnic-style tables scattered throughout the bar where you can strategize with your playmate about how to finally defeat the enemies on Final Fight, and even a trip to the bathroom promises ample entertainment as you read the hundreds of handwritten messages left behind in the stall (or maybe that's just the women's room).
Even when it's crowded, Barcade is a guaranteed good time for anyone who tires of the typical bar scene and it's a great place for anyone - from singles to first dates to married couples (in fact, I've made trips out to Barcade during every stage of life, enjoying myself thoroughly every time).

Barcade is such a fun spot! The atmosphere is amazing — great music, awesome energy, and a perfect mix of classic arcade games and good drinks. The staff really make the experience, especially Maddie — she was the absolute sweetest! Super friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone was having a great time. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her job and it shows. Whether you’re going for the games, the vibe, or just to relax with friends, this place never disappoints. Definitely one of my favorite hangouts in New York! 🎮🍹

Restaurantji Recommends
They're incredibly rude and ruined the vibes at the bar, this bar is the worst bar I've been to in Brooklyn and the hospitality was terrible. Wouldn't recommend going here, already advised my friends there not to bother going. The other locations are truthfully a lot more lively and fun.

Barcade Williamsburg. Classic. Been coming here forever! The beers are REALLY good- huge selection and they will let u try any anything you might be curious about but not sure of. Full bar and cocktail menu too- also, now they have like nonalcoholic selection for those who don’twanna imbibe. They don’t have food, but they have a huge binder full of every type of menu you can imagine from the area so it’s kind of good for like parties or birthdays cause you could bring your friends and order whatever you want with just like takeout so it’s way cheaper than going to a restaurant and you can pick whatever you want - so good! I like to order from lily Thai and grab a table. I love that. The games are really good. I love Tetris. That’s my favorite. They also have pinball which I’m getting into now and they have like every pinball ever made. Super fun hang!
