We were very disappointed. Used to love the prior location. The portions were tiny and without flavor or spice. AND the njera was cold. Not a good daddy-daughter date. Now we have to find a new spot.

Very Authentic!
We stopped by with out a reservation and got a seat. Very thankful it wasn’t very crowded on this night. But as the night progressed the place did fill up! (Make reservation)
The area is up and coming and I actually got parking on the street around the corner. This was very convenient. I was with some meat eaters so they ordered meat dishes and I had the vegetarian option of course. They kept mine separate! Very happy they accommodated.
Place was quiet and very open. It wasn’t cramped. Very clean Bathrooms. I must return to try this place again.

dinning in and was fairly pleased. I ordered online using seamless, it was terrible. I waited 2hrs. And the when I finally got the food it was cold and I was sent a really small portion of food for 28.00. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
We had the doro wett and the meat combination which were both excellent. I especially liked the lamb and would order that as a main next time. It came with a two sides, shiro and tikil Gomen, that we picked from a list of other tasty sounding sides, both which were super delicious and scoopable with the injera. Towards the end, the server came and gave my toddler a sample of the stewed split peas which he devoured. The servers there were so sweet and the service was prompt. I will definitely go again and highly recommend!

We were the only ones here at 5:30 pm on a Sunday night. Service was friendly and quick. Tried tej, Ethiopian honey wine, for the first time. Salty & sweet. Shared the meat platter with my partner. Plenty of injera was served alongside it. Simple and tasty food.

Yes! I’m so glad this place is back! I ordered lunch and it was unbelievably scrumptious. The rosemary tibs, beets, mushrooms, and tikil gomen are out of this world. I’ll definitely be coming back for dinner and drinks!

server (think it’s spelled khyrsten) mentioned a TEA which is the carafe i saw on the counter while eating at the bar. It has steeped cardamom and other spices.
she then told me the staff tends to add lime juice and sugar to sweeten it. i get the check and was charged as a $10 MOCKTAIL. I was under the impression i was getting a tea because that’s what she called it initially & how it was explained to me.
i even asked her to not make it “too sweet”. that wouldn’t have even been a question if i knew i was getting a mocktail and the prefect opportunity for her to clarify…
it’s not the end of the world or would stop me from coming back but definitely annoying. you tell someone a tea and they’ll expect a tea price. not a 12oz, $10 beverage.

So excited to have an Ethiopian spot in the neighborhood. It was delicious and the special is a great service size for two.

We walked in on a rainy Sunday evening and were sat immediately. The food, ambiance, and entire experience from start to finish was excellent and authentic. Great and attentive service from our server, Taylor, and the authentic Ethiopian food is highly recommended!

The spices are developed. The injera is fresh. There's a vegan section of the menu. The atmosphere is vibrant and comfortable. The staff are inviting. Prices are justified. Best Ethiopian food I've had in New York. I eat from here at least once a week.
Vegetarian options: All the vegetable dishes, made vegan, lentils, chickpea, high protein/fiber options with plenty of flavor as well as mushrooms cooked with fresh herbs smokiness are sumptuous and don't make you feel like you're missing meat.
At lunch there are also several different bowls with a variety of spiced veg and falafel to choose from.

Food was ok, but oily and under seasoned. I requested spicy, and would barely categorize what I received as mild. Overall, disappointing and not worth repeating
