I have seen some positive and some negative reviews for this restaurant. Unfortunately, my review will be added to the negative reviews.I used to live nearby, yet never stopped in to eat here. I went there this past Saturday - 7-25-20, celebrating my birthday weekend. My actual birthday was Tues. 7/28.Our waiter was very polite, which was nice but........* He asked us if we wanted bread and butter, instead of just bringing it out like all other Italian restaurants do.* We were provided no napkins, I had to ask for them.* When the bread finally came out, it wasn't beautiful, tasty rolls, it was regular sliced Italian bread that you can buy in any grocery store.* The waiter asked us if we wanted more water instead of just coming out and refilling our glasses.* Our table was positioned over the door that leads to their basement, I had to ask for the table to be moved.* We ordered the Gnocchi with Pesto sauce. The sauce was good, however the Gnocchi was very overcooked. Which ruined the meal for me and my guest. * The meal was served in a super-sized bowl, yet the serving size was very small.* We told the waiter the Gnocchi was overcooked, he went into a long explanation on how it tasted that way because it was "Fresh." I said I've had fresh Gnocci and it was not thick and gooey like this, but chewy and al dente like pasta. * Over priced - for the food, and the service.* Gave us the check and never came back to retrieve payment, I had to risk my health going inside the restaurant to pay.Overall, not a great experience.

We just ordered the 5 for $30 deal at Battista. Food was plentiful and delicious. Staff was courteous and pleasant. Food was prepared well and was ready for pickup at the designated time. Highly recommended.
