Love my neighborhood BedStuy Fish Fry staff!! When it first opened, there were televisions and a cool seating area. All that is gone now for just a buffet style, order, and pickup. They also, for some reason, did away with accepting credit cards and now only accept cash for orders. Truth, I miss the restaurant element of this spot, and while positively expanding from the original on Halsey to this, I do hope they are able to expand like the others on Grand and Livingston Streets (open the seating area, please 🙏).

I've been a long time customer with them for over 10 years. I dont know what happened with them but the food is definitely NOT THE SAME. I first started with their home location on Halsey St years back. Then spreaded myself out to their other locations to see the difference. Nostrand Ave lately been the go to and for the past 4 years it's been a disappointment. My last order sadly, I handled it over to my dog, I just couldn't consume. I done recommended their restaurants to so many people and now im no longer a fan of their food. It's not for me and it's sad to write this.

I ordered the turkey wings, collard greens and candied yams. The greens were good , but they used the veins. The vandied yams were just yams and notjing candied or seasoned about it. The food at best is average.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Bedstuy Fish Fry for the past four years and usually order from the Utica Avenue spot, where the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. However, I recently placed an order and, due to a system glitch, it was fulfilled by the 827 Nostrand Ave location. Unfortunately, the quality did not match what I’m used to—the food was disappointing and looked far from what I’ve come to expect. While I will absolutely continue to support Bedstuy Fish Fry, I’ll be sticking with the Utica Ave location moving forward.

Tonight at Nostrand Ave...it was so unorganized. Manager at the cash register and in the kitchen too. Menu listed prices covered with masking tape to cover the old prices. But they didn't put the new prices on the menu. Tacky! Delivery Bikers bum rushing and ordering all at one time. Very chaotic and stressful! The meatloaf dinner was horrible! Meatloaf was too mushy and more bread than meat, yams and greens had a nasty indescribable taste! More stems than collard greens. I threw the entire dinner in the garbage... a waste of my money! The mac and cheese was okay compared to the other foods. Fire the cooks!

This is the WORST LOCATION, NOTHING like the Utica one. Eye ordered the buy one get one deal and had whiting, with mash and spinach. Now as someone who DOESN'T EAT SALT, This whole meal was BLAND AND HAD NO SEASONING, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. GO TO UTICA LOCATION. The ATTITUDES that are displayed, even when you come into this place on a positive vybe, are ATROCIOUS!!! What is SAD is the lack of empathy, they do not care and this will reflect in the KARMA, that will come back to them. THE PEOPLE, MEANING THE CUSTOMERS are the reason you even have a business. DO BETTER, especially in a world of SOCIAL MEDIA. As my business professor taught and shared with me, STUDIES SHOW, For every BAD TEVIEW, RESTAURANTS LOSE AN AVERGAE OF 12 CUSTOMERS. Surprised they still in business. Horrible food!

Made a post on Instagram about the food being trash No sugarcoating it’s straight garbage. Instead of reaching out and Apologizing like a regular normal company would do they decided to block me. It’s sad how we want to support small businesses but this place should close down !!! Trash food post the proof to show they blocked me!!! Very, very unprofessional
