BierWax is the place to be in these cold winter days! The atmosphere is inviting, all the service people are welcoming, and the music and drinks are great! I highly recommend and will be bringing some friends next time I am in the area!

As a vinyl collector, I'm always in awe when I'm there. The music is always on point and there's never a dull moment. Good vibes. Great people.

Bierwax, a home of culture šŸ™ Evil D, Juggaknots, Yesh, Bobbito, Havoc, Easy Moe Bee, J Scienide, Pharoah, Prince Po, Boogie Blind, Cryptic One, Smif N Wessun, El Da Sen, have all hung, spit, drank and chopped it up here. A taste of authentic BK is putting it lightly.

I usually just ask Chris what’s the hazy on tap and it’s always good! Sucio Smash is a resident DJ—what more can I say!

Bierwax is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is clean, old-school, and laid-back, which makes it feel welcoming the moment you walk in. It’s perfect for relaxing, catching up with friends, or just enjoying a good beer with the best records playing in the background

As a Brooklyn NATIVE, born and raised, Bierwax GETS IT and will get my vote every time. I read the other reviews before writing so let me say this: One employee/person comparison ā€œshoppingā€ (weird flex) could never cancel nor reflect the yearS of CONSISTENCY Bierwax has shown! Especially at a time when it is harder and harder to go back to a spot you enjoyed years ago because bars come and go in BK. Bierwax is still standing and that’s not by accident. That’s because we CHOOSE it. The vibe is right and of course the music sets the tone. Whenever I go alone, I’m GOOD and if I bring visitors from out of town, the feedback is always: ā€œThis spot is dope!ā€ Thank you Bierwax for creating something special in my borough. You built it for the community and lasted all these years because of community. Real recognizes real and REAL Brooklyn knows wassup! Respect! xo

Being from the west coast of Canada and visiting New York for my 40th birthday, I decided to walk around Brooklyn and luckily stumbled upon Bierwax! I stopped by early afternoon and can definitely say I was not disappointed. Tone the bartender was amazing. The drinks were great and the conversation even better. He was playing some smooth Jazz and couldn't have asked for a better vibe. Highly recommended, amazing vinyl collection, good people, and the beer selection/cocktails are on point...made my trip to New York memorable!

Sista DJ played a tribute to D'Angelo for 2hrs, then just nutz on 90s R&B, using nothing but vinyl!! She was so dope! The backsplash of the bar are hundreds of actual vinyl records and Star Wars memorabilia. Just really really cool vibe. Met my good childhood friend and his road dog and we had great laughs and great drinks. Will be back!!

we rented the bar out for our wedding welcome drinks and had an absolute blast. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We brought some sandwiches and platters in and the bartenders set up a table for us to lay it all out. The drinks were delicious and everybody had a wonderful time. Lots of bars overcharge but Bierwax was super cordial and fair in their pricing. My one bit of advice is to let the bartenders choose what vinyl to play as they chose some great hits to keep our party bopping along! BIERWAX FOREVER!!!!!

This place is a rip off and I finally have the proof. I bought a 4 pack of heady topper there. $59 freaking dollars and they tried adding 25% tip on for me to TAKE THE 4 PACK AWAY. A different beer shop right down the street (Beer Street South. Not a ā€œconvenience storeā€ but a bar that has very similar bills to be paid as Bierwax) sold me the same 4 pack for $29 and then I found it at Whole Foods for $19 but I’m not even throwing that in for comparison. Getting it for $29 right down the street compared to $59 is just crazy. And one of their male bartenders is just straight up rude.

Their excuse and response shows that they’re ok ripping you off. Two beer bars on the same street with a $30 price difference on a 4 pack… the math isn’t mathing.

Was recommended from a friend to stop in while waiting for a friend to get done with a concert at Barclays Center. This place did not disappoint, great beer, great atmosphere, great staff. Arthur was phenomenal, you can’t go wrong stopping in here.
