Amazingggggg! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday on Jan. 6th ! He was raised in Brooklyn so I wanted to find a place to eat in his old neighborhood! As we live in CT now! And we could not have been more pleased! The beautiful, pleasant host we had!! The food, music, vibe was everything!!! We are already planning to go back to try the brunch ! 10/10!!!!

Awesome first time experience! Will definitely be visiting again if we are ever in New York. The waitress was awesome and attentive, and the aesthetics were top-tier. Whoever the bartender was made some really good drinks.!

The bird pepper is small, however my reservation was for 5:30. I understand I had to wait about maybe 15min 20min the most. I was seated at 6:30. I ordered the hamburger, the meat was cooked well however the bread was so cold that the whole experience of the burger was lost. Please toast the bread. The drinks was not as good for $16 a glass my Lychee martini was Lychee juice overly sweet no liquor could not drink it.

The waitress was rude and didn't let me and my date seat by each other in the lounge area but I booked the table—it was free but she said it's for groups. No way, my previous date went great because there was another waiter that let us sit there. Waste of time and money!

I’m very disappointed with this establishment, my friends and I come here frequently on Fridays for Happy Hour, And This Would be my last time coming here. For us to come here often and to be treated with disrespect was disappointing especially from a Black Owned Business. When we first walked in as a party of 5 the hostess placed us at a table in the back, the server then came with an attitude and said we can’t sit there because we were there for happy hour. However they still let us sit there. The drinks came and it was terrible and the food was so cold! Instead of the waitress asking if we wanted anything else to drink/eat, she rushed us with the bill, stating that another party of 5 was coming, meanwhile we’re still eating! A friend of mines asked if we are being kicked out, the waitress said verbatim with an attitude, Yes! The MaMoments later after we paid, the same waitress came to the table and kicked us out after we paid with an attitude! The manager never even came to ask if everything was ok after seeing I was visibly upset, which showed no respect for customers. For us to come here every Friday For a whole 2 Months and to be treated like that, is disrespectful! As a black owned business, Do Better! I guarantee you that would never happened if a white person was there smh!

The food was horrible. Not worth the price at all. The short ribs were chewy, the 7 cheese Mac n cheese had a cheese-less taste. My daughter had the oxtail which was also undercooked . The atmosphere n workers are pretty nice but everything else was a first n last for me.

I visited Bird Pepper for brunch and had a great experience. We made reservations ahead of time, so we were seated right away with no wait. For appetizers, we tried the crab cakes (you get two) and the coconut shrimp (four jumbo shrimp). Both were enjoyable, though the coconut shrimp was a bit on the oily side.
For drinks, I ordered a frozen rum punch, which came in a generous-sized glass and—especially for a frozen drink—really packed a punch. For my entrée, I had the chicken and pomegranate waffles. The waffles had a nice flavor, and the chicken was good as well, though I personally could’ve used just a bit more salt. The rest of my group said they enjoyed their dishes too.
I believe the restaurant has a downstairs area, though I didn’t get a chance to check it out. There’s also a bar at the front if you just want to stop in for a drink. Also, there’s only one bathroom on the main floor which can make wait time for the bathroom kinda long.
Overall, Bird Pepper is a nice spot to visit for brunch or dinner.

The food was meh. The music was too loud. Our server was not great. Server was clearing another table and as she walked by, the dirty plate slipped out of her hands and landed all over my friend. Someone's leftover food all on her. A mess. They didn't offer anything but a shot of alcohol and none of us were drinking. They ended up giving us a slice of red velvet cake for free. I will not be going back.

Went last night for the first time and it exceeded my expectations on all costs! The food was really good, the service was sweet and super accommodating as I arrived on crutches. My boyfriend and I never really care to leave reviews but I had to give it to this place! Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!

I ate here a few days ago and had an amazing experience. The vibe is perfect to start a night out and the food was even better. I ordered the lamb chop with Veggies and Plantain. The lamb was juicy and packed a great amount of flavor. The sides were cooked perfectly. Additionally, my server, Kenesha, was so friendly. She actually helped me pick my order and was patient with me despite me asking a bunch of questions. Food didn't take too long either. I'm considering this restaurant for my birthday dinner after that experience.
