The food was solid, the experience was fine. They auto tip 20%, which I think should be illegal. Double tipped and nothing was said.

Great food, good service. Overpriced.
Pretty standard flavor spot, slightly pricy if considering the quality. Things would go wrong but nothing really stands out.
They serve fast, clean fast, bill you fast. Understandable but it feels like you are rushed to get out.
✨Tea-smoked duck might be the one I would recommend. The flavor was mild but rich. Meat was not dry.
Dan-Dan noodles was good, a classic. I recommend ask for some vinegar to mix with.
The chive fried pancake was authentic.

Birds of a Feather never disappoints. The cold noodles were excellent, other star of the evening was the tea smoked duck. Served were very friendly and the macha beer was amazing (and green!). This space is great for groups and sharing your order is the best approach to try something new.
Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options including dumplings, mushrooms platters, Szechuan veggie dishes and more.
Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, and lactose intolerant people.
Parking: Parking is dry hard to find in the area.
Kid-friendliness: There are booths that would be good for children.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.

The food was amazing. Do not miss the okra and pork mini rolls. BUT and a big but is that after 30 minutes I entered a stare down with the employees bc they wanted to clear my table. I understand many people want to eat there but it’s unreasonable to behave this way, I felt extremely stressed and unwelcome.

Good appetizers , but main dishes need a bit update to stand out of crowded New York city Sichuan restaurant scene.

Cute atmosphere. The pork dumplings in chili oil were delicious. However the husband and wife special of beef slices were unbelievably chewy and not tender at all. We also ordered the spicy lamb and spicy chicken. They were so difficult to eat because of overwhelming spices. I normally love spicy food but normally the spice in dishes adds to the flavor. The red peppers were too much in these dishes that it was taking flavors away from the dishes. The waiters were really nice while interacting with us. But they barely stopped by our table we had to waive to get attention. Overall a bit disappointing considering this is apparently a popular restaurant in the region.

Pleasantly surprised to find this authentic spot full of amazing flavors in the middle of our Williamsburg day trip! Walked in for lunch, we got lucky to get in before a big party, but either way their service is great- I asked for recommendation and I was not disappointment. I only wish I had more mouths to feed at my table so I could have ordered everything to try. I thoroughly enjoyed the “husband and wife special” chilled beef and tripe in chili oil and peanut bits, and the sautéed green beans. I believe if you get the lunch special for the dishes you’d get a side white rice, which is much needed to mix with all the delicious sauces! I also ordered the dan dan noodles which were also very delicious. They have quite many options in their menu and all seems really great to eventually try. If you enjoy sichuan flavors this is your spot!

Friendly staff but the beef soup noodle was extremely salty to the point where I couldn’t eat it. They did not offer to change it or refund it.

Birds is an excellent restaurant. Service very attentive. Shoutout to Toby and Ryan for going above and beyond on making our dining experience superb.
Food? Delicious. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, spicy fish fillets, kung pao chicken, spicy wontons, and Dan Dan noodles. For more Sichuan style flavors with the chili oil, get the spicy wontons and noodles. My personal favorites were the kung pao chicken and fish!
