This place just doesnt do it for me. Entitled and pretentious bartenders serving weak, overpriced cocktails and the music is always hit or miss. For every decent DJ, there are always a few who have no clue what theyre doing. Its been so bad that ppl had to be pulled off the decks. Not sure about the food but I wouldnt expect much given everything else.

If you’re relatively young (even if at heart ?) and you’re into tequila and dancing, this is your spot. Upstairs the bar was buzzing but not overcrowded, and basically every cocktail on the menu is tequila based, but made well. $10 cover on a Sat night - reasonable. Downstairs the jams of 90s freestyle pumped through the speakers while the smoke machine fogged up the not so big room making it seem oddly larger. The back of the dance area had a back section with underutilized seating space that attracted people mainly out of curiosity rather than the intent to occupy the space. But again, comfortably crowded in that we weren’t bumping elbows with anyone but we were far from alone in the space. Added plus is they stay open late - not so true of many of the other bars in the area. Black Flamingo was definitely a good time!

Loved the vibe & music downstairs but the white male bartender in black beanie (4/27/2024) was EXTREMELY rude. He threw napkins to me when I asked for it and he was consistently ignoring me and my husband (FYI, we are Asian couple) even though he was right in front of us. We had to order our drinks from another bartender who was way farther than him. And checking my credit card statement, he charged us a lot more than what we actually got; I will have to contact them about this smh.I don't wanna return to this place simply because of that rude bartender. Based on some reviews on Google, I think he's a racist and he needs to be fired.

This is a place for white people, plain and simple. The white male bartender with a beanie and mustache was VERY rude to me and my friend. We tried to order drinks and every drink we named he “didn’t have the ingredients” for. He rolled his eyes, talked to his friends at the bar in a polite friendly manor, and he even shared a phone call on his cell phone while ignoring us. He talked to us in a VERY short and intensely rude way all while ignoring our various requests for service. Security was very apologetic but I will NEVER come back here. Come here if you want dirty looks and terrible service. We were the only black women here and we we’re treated terribly. Stalls for the mens bathroom but only one toilet for women. Terrible music selection as well.

I went here because I Googled "places for African American adults to party" and this place popped up. The only black heads in there were the ones on the people noses. Plus, there's a cover charge. If you're looking for a diverse crowd, this is not it.

someone stole the phones of multiple people in the bar the night I went, and when all of us tried to ask them where to find our "lost" phones, they refused to acknowledge that they were clearly stolen (multiple people from several parties "lost" their phones) and did nothing to offer help in realistically tracking down the perpertator (no offer to look at any security tapes or help track down potential solutions to the issue). I get that they couldn't have found our phones for us, but they were unwilling to offer practical help in tracking down who stole them and quickly dismissed us when we tried asking them to help us. In an extremely frustrating solution, we were met with employees who simply couldn't be bothered to even answer follow up calls from friends asking if they had found the "lost" phones towards the end of closing.

5 stars all-around. It’s a pretty big place with indoor and outdoor seating + downstairs is a night club which brings artists from all over the world. On one of the nights in town, I had tacos and danced to a German DJ (name escapes me). It’s always a good time!
