Waited around for a while as the only person in line and the barista didn’t take my order. He kept fulfilling online orders and paid no attention whatsoever to in person customers. I asked him if he’s going take my order and he said it’s better to place it online.

So the drinks there are a hit or miss! The reason being some of the baristas there seem like they don’t really care about whether they get the drinks right or not. Additionally, they seem like they don’t want to be there and they have foul attitudes, especially the red curly haired barista. Once I got my matcha drink, it was made poorly, very light and watery. I asked her politely to add more matcha to fix the drink, she gave me a nasty attitude. She grabbed the drink forcibly and aggressively added whatever amount of matcha and just put it there with the same attitude. I thanked her despite her belittling attitude, she just ignored me. Another instance, when I had the other nice barista, she politely told me that if I wanted more matcha I had to pay which I understood. But that time the right amount of matcha wasn’t even right, the drink was made wrong so why would I have to pay! I really love blank street but because of the negativity there I have, a lot of times, to make the hard decision not to go.

Stopped by today for a coffee before I hung out in the park with my son. Jen and Ella brought such positivity and joy to my experience. Obviously they were professional and made a great coffee, but beyond that, they asked how we were, wished us a good day, and really just brought sunshine and smiles to our morning. Hope to run into them again when I'm back.
