Was looking for a quick bite in Bushwick and ended up at Blue Collar Burger, which turned out to be a solid and satisfying choice. My boyfriend and I ordered the cheeseburger, and it delivered exactly what you want from a classic neighborhood burger. The patty was juicy and well-seasoned, topped with melted American cheese and layered with crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. Everything came together nicely on a soft potato bun, and the house golden sauce added a rich, slightly tangy finish without overpowering the burger itself.
We also tried the chicken tender sandwich, made with two generously sized tenders that were crispy on the outside and tender inside. It was assembled with the same fresh toppings and special sauce, giving it a hearty, balanced bite that felt thoughtfully put together rather than rushed. To round out the meal, we shared a vanilla milkshake that was thick, creamy, and classic simple, but done well. Overall, a reliable spot for comfort food done right, offering straightforward flavors, quality ingredients, and a casual atmosphere that fits perfectly into the Bushwick neighborhood.

Stopped in quickly while it was raining out because I didn’t want to keep wondering for food. Should have stayed in the rain
The burger was the most generic smash burger. Would have been ok if it was a $6 burger, but the prices are too high for the quality you get. The fries on the other hand were absolutely disgusting- they tasted like they were 99% salt. Made me want to vomit. Got the special sauce on the side and honestly it takes like just straight from a Kraft Heinz grocery store bottle.
Decoration and vibe was very “private equity trying to be kitchy”. It’s basically McDonald’s with more focus-grouped decorations (though the focus group is also midwestern moms that would be to afraid to go to bushwick)

I'll start with the good - the burgers and shakes are delicious, if three bites of a burger does you, this is your spot. Now, I'll move on to the annoying. I don't know what the trend is that many of these incredible shrinking fast foods places have going on, as they seem to think that their customers won't notice there is basically no food in their food. The Blue Collar burgers are so thin, you would think you were eating a fine slice of processed burger salami. The rest is huge amounts of beautiful green lettuce, pickles, bun, and whatever else is extremely cheap and which they hope their customers don't notice is missing the... uh, burger. You can label it 'smashburger' all you want, but you're not fooling anyone with the marketing lingo and it isn't going to save you. Put some burger in your burger, as you charge far too much for a lettuce and pickle burger with beef taste.

Blue collar solidly stands among the great no-frills burger joints in Brooklyn. It is one of my favorite places for comfort food. I would love to give them a perfect rating, the only reason I don't is because when I get it delivered they almost always forget the drinks or shakes.

From the moment I stepped into Blue Collar, I was greeted by the exquisite, fresh aroma of what could only be described as an exceptional local burger. The gentleman behind the counter welcomed me with genuine warmth—something rare and refreshing in today’s fast-paced culture. The entire experience was outstanding; the service was timely, and the personal touch of being called by name made it feel truly special. Everything was seamless, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Waited a half hour for a stone cold chicken sandwich, when I asked why my sandwich was not cooked they just shrugged their shoulders. They clearly forgot my order and just didn’t care.
delivery drivers were everywhere, blocking anyone from getting their food.

Blue Collar never disappoints. Always so consistent with their food, and it comes super fast every single time. You can always count on Blue Collar to deliver — literally. The tater tots? Still perfectly crisped up, even in delivery. Absolute comfort food perfection.

Burgers and fries were pretty okay. The burger wasn't messy and had good flavor balance. And the fries were shoe-string cut (my fave) and also had good flavor balance as well. The oreo milkshake though 🤌🏼 The milkshake sealed the deal for me. It was thicc...the way it should be. And it wasn't overly sweet. Just overall a good experience. The indoor dining wasn't that spectacular bc the space is small, but it was clean and the music wasn't too loud. Not bad for a quick bite.
