Very well organised and convenient restaurant. They offer generous meals and for affordable rates. We liked the meals very much and the staff members were super affable and explanatory. I recommend this place.

Nowhere near what it once was. 15 years ago, this was the best restaurant in Brooklyn. Now, everything about it is mediocre. The famous raw bar has been whittled down to nothing. Even the signature Blue Ribbon Royale is off the menu. The once fantastic oysters were small and overpriced compared with many far less significant places both in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Steak and grilled lobster half were OK, but still not fantastic. Wine was good and fairly priced.

Food was great although a bit on the pricey side. We were seated immediately on Valentine's day even though we didn't have reservations. I ordered the seafood stew and she ordered the chicken and mashed... Both were delicious. Only issue I'd say is the alcohol punch. We thought it was going to be a pitcher but it was just a small jug. For $36 we expected more. Otherwise great place to eat.

I went with my BF and another friend to this place for my birthday. We ordered a lot of food. I had the salmon ceviche and lamb chops. But to my surprise, I was quite disappointed. The fish in the ceviche didn't feel fresh. And the lamb chop was too overdone. Consider the price wasn't cheap (though it's not super expensive either) I'd expect the food would be more on par with their "reputation." My BF had the fish and it was ok but not anything special. Overall, it's not a disaster but it wasn't money well spent. It just dampened the mood. I don't think I'll be back any time soon.

Dim lit and pretty bar at this restaurant, however I got a seat in the comfy booth corners. I had the Paella Basquez which was delicious. The chicken sausage in it was spicy and tasty. The calamari was well cooked with the rice. Clam and mussels were fresh. I'd say it's worth it, especially for the price. I also had the crispy rice spicy tuna dish, comes with 6 pieces and avocado too! I had a glass of Pinot Grigio, they have vast selection of wines and drinks which I appreciate. Staff was attentive and also give bread at the beginning of your dinner. I'll be back to try more dishes.

Sat at the bar during happy hour, yes on a Sunday. Oyster were great, and so were the clams on the half shell and shrimp cocktail. Our bartender, Kelson did a terrific job as always, he's really cool.

Went here with high expectations based on the reviews and was honestly pretty disappointed. When you pay 50 dollars for a steak, you expect it to be pretty decent. The New York Strip was super fatty and in reality tasted like a 1/4 of the price. We could barely eat it. The lobster Mac was super stringy and watery and really overpriced for what you got. Based on this experience, definitely won't be back. Hoping that this review will save someone money and a stomach ache.

The New York Strip was super fatty and in reality tasted like a 1/4 of the price. We could barely eat it. It was by far the worst steak I've ever had. Despite this, the waitress was sweet and attentive. The lobster Mac was super stringy and watery and really overpriced for what you got. Based on this experience, definitely won't be back. We went on NYE with our children and had a very enjoyable experience. The escargot is amazing and my steak was cooked to perfection. The servie was attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely go back.

I was warned that it wasn't what it used to be. Even after they first divided the bistro from the sushi by a wall and separate entrance, it was still pretty darn great. Their bone marrow and oxtail marmalade appetizer was a mind blowing, decadently genius, peanut butter and jelly mouthful for hard core carnivores. A trio of interpretive paella to choose from...all so incredibly delicious and generous, it was a no brainer, even if ordered as a centerpiece for the table. Sadly, the only memorable likeness to the Blue Ribbon I've described above, is the excellent and attentive service. The west coast oysters were disappointing, bavett steak was impossible to chew long enough to safely swallow without the fear of choking, seasoning was regrettably sparse and there were no stand out dishes among our hungry quartet. The spicy margarita I asked for as an off menu request, was well made and kept me going throughout the boring courses. Such a cool and comfy vibe. Doubtful that they'll be able to rely on only that for much longer.

Nice restaurant with a relaxed but classy vibe. Couples and families were out to enjoy dinner on NYE. The music was a bit toooo hunky dory LOL. I would have preferred holiday music at least or a mix of different genres. It made the place feel dated. The food however was great. We tried two apps-- the garlic shrimp and a rib dish. They were both delicious ! Entree were solid. I had the fried chicken-since it was my first time. My BF tried the pork chop which he enjoyed. The chicken was ok. We really did not enjoy their cocktails. They just didn't taste good and for the price you'd definitely expect more flavor. I'd stick with wine. Service was good and professional. Overall a good experience.
