I ordered something there, but they never ship them to me. It’s been weeks already and I paid for one day shipping. I called and emailed, but no response. They took my money and never ship anything.
I have been a massive fan of Bonbon Lakay since 2020. I got treats for my family, who haven’t been back to Haiti for almost 20+ years, that brought them right back to their childhood. I’ve gotten my birthday cake here for my 30th birthday, and I just ordered more treats for this Christmas.THIS review is long overdue, for the service I consistently get is impressive!!! For my birthday, when I realized I did not have time to pick up the cake, I coordinated an Uber to come pick up the cake and drop it off at the venue. Something happened with Uber, where they did not find the restaurant. Bonbon Lakay put the cake in a taxi for me free of charge. I was shocked when I found this out and beyond thankful!!!!!Their previous location was a little out of the way for me, but on my days off, I would take advantage, taking a long walk through Prospect Park all the way to Park Slope, and reward myself with something from Bonbon Lakay. In this new chapter, I hope this brings them more customers so they can spread more joy! I'm never disappointed when I have your food. If you love fantastic and flavorful baked goods, you will fall head over heels for Bonbon Lakay

Update to owner's reply: I received an email stating I will only receive an partial credit, I still havent received any personal communication nor apology. Only a public -we dropped the ball and you have been made whole statement below. Please be honest. Speak to me about my transaction not the world for good taste. And since I can only get a response in public. Why am I only getting a partial credit? Nothing was made nor sent to me and I tried to cancel the entire order Wednesday night before Thanksgiving when noticed you missed another promised deadline.I never stated send me partial, I never had the pleasure of being treated like a paying customer.I placed an order the week of November 10th that totalled $165, for delivery on the 18th. On the 16th after I initiated contact I was informed my order wouldn't arrive until Thanksgiving and I would receive tracking information on Monday. Monday and Thanksgiving has come and gone. No one will respond to my text, my messages on chat, my email. I have not gotten a refund and I have not gotten the products. I do not want the product anymore I want my money back. Total disappointment, what was supposed to be a birthday cake, turned into Thanksgiving dessert, into a loss of $165 and aggravation. I would enclose a picture but it would be of a empty table and a charge on my bank statement. Little to say I'm not pleased.

Let"s talk about how amazing the food is , Lets talk about how Bon Bon Lakay is one of my top favorite restaurants right now , I could be there every day . The service is top tier . I love the owner she is so sweet . This place is 10/10 .I wanna personally leave this message for Juwanna as soon as me and my business partner walked in the establishment she had great energy , she was attentive , answered every question we had and she was able to execute our orders she was also very patient. Thank you Juwanna for having so much compassion .
The dous makos is not the same. It is a good try but the taste is very different from the traditional Haitian makos. The texture is too hard, it doesn’t melt in your mouth. The aroma is good , actually very good and at the same time different than a tigoave makos.Overall if you’re craving makos , it is a dulce leche but not a dous makos.
I loved the beef pastry I got here. Service was super nice — told me all about the options before I choose.
This place is DELICIOUS & everyone working there is kind & sweet. 5 sparkling stars. You must try everything ?
I finally was in the area and popped in for some cookies and cake for a picnic! Everything was fresh and delicious. I also had the pleasure to chat with the owner, Edgina, and tell her I’ve been a fan from afar! Such a great person and wonderful eatery! I’ll be back!
Woo-Hoo‼️ This place is just awesome. Great service. The Cajun fries are crispy seasoned and flavorful. It pairs perfectly with the BBQ Griot Sandwich. And my Soursop limeade was to die for. 50 stars if I could
Yesterday I tried a Spinach Patty (simple puff pastry with stewed spinach and carrots inside) and it was delicious! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the place gives you positive vibes the moment you step foot inside.Thank you for your kindness and your delicious food! I’ll come back for sure

DO NOT COME HERE. I came all the way out of town to visit this place. The Google says it’s open however when I arrived to the location they had a note stating they were temporarily shut down for an undisclosed amount of time. I’m disappointed as they could have updated their website or Google page to reflect that instead of a note on the door.
Amazing food and service. Great location as well! The Pattie’s are flaky and warm the limeade is FANTASTIC!!! We like to order rum cakes for fun, sooooo good. They offer catering, really considering this for future party option.
Baked goods, both savory and sweet, are made with love and you can tell with every bite. The pork chop and plantains dish tasted authentic, though the jerk-seasoned fries were the favorite. For a quick lunch, it's a no-brainer.

Had griot taco, it was amazing, the pork was succulent, the pickled cabbage delicious. Sat in the backyard with a friend and truly enjoyed our meal:)

One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood! I recently rented out the space for my birthday, and it was perfect for a low-key party. Everyone liked the food, but they especially raved about the passion fruit limeade! Rain kept us indoors, but there's a cute patio in back where you can eat/host your event. Plus, Eddie and Mel were so kind and good to work with to plan the party. When they're open I definitely recommend stopping in for a quick lunch or snack -- all the patties I've tried are delicious, as is the guava grilled cheese. The gede (double chocolate) cookie is a great treat, especially when paired with the Haitian hot chocolate. I'm not sure what spices are in there but they're so good!
