At the time of writing this review, I have lived in NYC for exactly one month. It’s a dive, but such a wonderful one. In my personal experience, it’s a place where I have met so many kind and interesting people that have become my friends in this new city. The bartenders have great vibes and want you to enjoy yourself, as long as you don’t get carried away. All in all, this is a fantastic bar that is worth checking out.
Great bar to start the night at. Used to live within walking distance, many great memories here. We saw the coolest old fashioned ragtime/jazz band here, the girl’s voice was amazing and there was a guy playing the washboard. Cheap but good drinks, outdoor area, lowkey unpretentious neighborhood feel. Very fun!
This was the first bar I walked into when I moved to New York. The vibe is great and I'll always enjoy an outdoor patio. It's big enough that you can go with a group without worrying too much about having to pack in like sardines. My only tiny complaint is that the music can be so loud that you have to scream like you're at a club, which is fine if you're already trashed, but not so great if you're just starting your night.
