Took our puppy here and we had a blast. Got a chance to relax and not have to keep an eye on him while he socializes with other dogs/puppies. They have plenty of cleaning supplies and sanitizers if any dog goes to the bathroom inside. The food surprised me by how good it was. They also have an array of doggy toys, snacks and ice creams.

Don’t understand why a tea and an avocado sandwich cost me $28. Was there without dog, accompanied with my friends…

I finally got to go!!!!! I'm so happy that a small business was saved. I went in after a day of photography and thrift shopping and decided to come by the cafe. I fell in love instantly. There was a dog birthday party which was adorable and I had a lavader latte which was great and bought a tote and a dog bandana which my dog loves. I would Def recommend pet owners and dog lovers to check it out and show some love to this place ? ?. Down below was a friend me and my boyfriend met her name is winnie.

Found this place by chance and what fun!A cafe for dog owners to hang out with other dog owners. We popped in for iced coffees and were greeted by dogs-a-plenty, our kids had such a great time. Give it a try!! This is a photo of Turner who we met whilst there.

Amazing events. Great place to get art from local artists. It is so much more than a coffee shop.

UPDATE: See owners comment below my original review.I love this place, the staff, and all the dogs that visit. I absolutely abhor ALL the entitled and clueless dog-owners that allow their dogs to run amok, piss on everything, bark at everyone and everything, start fights, and expect the staff here to do the dirty work of monitoring their dog and cleaning up their dog’s vomit, poop, and piss. There are a few negative reviews from some of the entitled dog owners I’m talking about who are too dense to understand that curtailing their dog’s bad behavior is the responsibility of the dog owners not the staff. in one review, some dweeb even says, “isn’t that their job?”. No, it isn’t! I’m leaving a one star review because ultimately, it’s the responsibility of the cafe owners to ensure that dog owners know the rules and the limitations in which their dogs are allowed to visit, (i.e. no excessive barking, no jumping, no neglecting of dogs while working remotely ?‍? on your laptop in the cafe leaving other customers and the staff to monitor and tend to cleanups and mishaps). I know that the rules are posted on the back wall but very few people seem to take notice. I implore the owners to place a copy of the rules at the entrance and outside and on social media, etc. etc. This place is otherwise absolutely perfect and I will alter/ change my review if and when the standards for dog owners are made more clear to all who enter. Boris and Horton is NOT a doggy daycare!!

This used to be one of our favorite places to go with our dog, before they shut down. Now that they’ve reopened, the vibe has completely changed. Our dog (a golden retriever, who has energy but is very sweet) was trying to get other dogs to play with him. Every time he barked, the staff blew a horn at him, even though I was following him around and distracting him when he barked. The horn did not help, but they kept using it. If the store has decided to enforce a no barking policy, that should be made clear somewhere bc the result was just us not feeling very welcome and leaving after 15 minutes. Before they reopened, we’d easily spend an hour there. Also, their new policy is to push for a monetary donation from every customer. I totally get this if someone is not spending any money when they come in. However, we just spent $20–and would have spent more if we hadn’t felt like we had to leave so quickly. Being told that we should really consider adding on another $10 felt like a lot.Overall, a completely unexpected and disappointing experience compared to what the place used to be. We will not be back.

The staff is very friendly. Better than the old staff they had. however, I find it very interesting that they put many of the toys low enough so big dogs can steal them and then you end up having to pay $20 for a toy. Very cleverly designed to take more of your money. The grilled cheese is good.

Boris & Horton is an absolute gift to our day every time we visit—a true gem and an easy favorite. Since opening in Williamsburg, the Eloise latte and a treat for my pup have become staples of our little morning routine. The staff’s warm welcome and genuine kindness contribute to a community that is inclusive and filled with pure joy. Thoughtful and creative, Boris & Horton is truly something special. Grateful for the friends and fun memories made over workdays spent here.

The BEST community!! We come to Bk from LA often for extended trips and alwayssss come here. Almost on a daily! My favorite 3rd place. I always make new friends here and it’s given my anxious rescue a place to socialize and become less of a velcro dog. Since coming here regularly she’s opened up so much and even let’s new people give her pets This is the most special place - the community, the coffee, the staff, the great food! We gotta keep places like this up and running and thriving!!

We came for the first time today, and wanted to move to the neighborhood just for Boris & Horton! So sad it's closing soon. Get over there and try the great drinks and bakery goods before they close on Feb 26th! (Delicious blueberry muffins)
