This used to be one of our favorite places to go with our dog, before they shut down. Now that they’ve reopened, the vibe has completely changed. Our dog (a golden retriever, who has energy but is very sweet) was trying to get other dogs to play with him. Every time he barked, the staff blew a horn at him, even though I was following him around and distracting him when he barked. The horn did not help, but they kept using it. If the store has decided to enforce a no barking policy, that should be made clear somewhere bc the result was just us not feeling very welcome and leaving after 15 minutes. Before they reopened, we’d easily spend an hour there. Also, their new policy is to push for a monetary donation from every customer. I totally get this if someone is not spending any money when they come in. However, we just spent $20–and would have spent more if we hadn’t felt like we had to leave so quickly. Being told that we should really consider adding on another $10 felt like a lot.Overall, a completely unexpected and disappointing experience compared to what the place used to be. We will not be back.

The staff is very friendly. Better than the old staff they had. however, I find it very interesting that they put many of the toys low enough so big dogs can steal them and then you end up having to pay $20 for a toy. Very cleverly designed to take more of your money. The grilled cheese is good.

Boris & Horton is an absolute gift to our day every time we visit—a true gem and an easy favorite. Since opening in Williamsburg, the Eloise latte and a treat for my pup have become staples of our little morning routine. The staff’s warm welcome and genuine kindness contribute to a community that is inclusive and filled with pure joy. Thoughtful and creative, Boris & Horton is truly something special. Grateful for the friends and fun memories made over workdays spent here.

The BEST community!! We come to Bk from LA often for extended trips and alwayssss come here. Almost on a daily! My favorite 3rd place. I always make new friends here and it’s given my anxious rescue a place to socialize and become less of a velcro dog. Since coming here regularly she’s opened up so much and even let’s new people give her pets This is the most special place - the community, the coffee, the staff, the great food! We gotta keep places like this up and running and thriving!!

We came for the first time today, and wanted to move to the neighborhood just for Boris & Horton! So sad it's closing soon. Get over there and try the great drinks and bakery goods before they close on Feb 26th! (Delicious blueberry muffins)

We loved our time there. Snoopy got to meet other dogs while I was working on things. Dog treats were obviously delish but a lil pricey. But Snoopy loved

Such an easy way to delight my pup. The dog park in McCarren is a glorified mud pit so this cafe is a godsend.
