My ride or die spot since 2016. Used to stop by regularly when I lived closer. It’s no frills but with the quality of Ess-a-bagel or Tal bagels (sans the tourist lines). Lately I order half a dozen bagels for delivery, slice them and freeze them. It makes every morning so enjoyable. My favourite are the pumpernickel bagels. But now I’m seeing it has closed! I hope it’s only temporary… please please, come back!
I had a bagel from here a week ago. It was a Sesame with dill ?, cucumber ? cream cheese ?. And idky but I asked for a little butter . It was perfect. I never wanted it to finish. Try it. Tell them MJ BROWNSVILLE 'S favorite.
Great bagels! Unfortunately they seem to have cashier issues. After I watched a dude who clearly comes in everyday have to argue with the cashier, I paid $18 for two bagels with cream cheese and one drink (which was $4.75), walking down the street doing math in my head I realized I had way overpaid. Unless my bagels were $6 each (they're not, I looked up the prices online when I got home), I got overcharged. Again, love the bagels, just seems to be an ongoing issue with cashiers...
