They have a wide variety of baked goods that are delicious and fresh, but the service needs improvement.

Please never lie to your customers. They usually have the most delicious croissants in Brooklyn. Today, I asked the lady if the croissants were fresh because they looked like yesterday's. She said yes and sold it to me, but she lied. It was a disgusting croissant, I would prefer to come later to buy a fresh one.
Such a cute store! I never knew how much things are made of bread...
No signage indicated a closure, website and Google listing indicates the shop is open, however it is not. Waste of time.

They have so many baked goods that it was unbelievably amazing. I highly recommend them to get your bread, pastries and cakes as well.

Flies put on a bread ?and too overpriced $11 for 1 loaf bread??
Staff friendly and defintely refreshinh to see aridsn breads, brioche. Pretzel loaf, whole wheat challah, dalt free , pretzels, oretzel buns, challah, assorted options. Not normal kosher bakery, yes , had some familiar cakes, pastries but its the quality and selection that gem among the other bakeries. Will travel 30 or more miles to stock up when in town. Try it!

Great bakery, large selection. Very good Chocolate Bobka.
Excellent selections of breads
the place is great but I just don't see the justification for them jacking the prices way up so instead of once a week I go once a month now
Many of the reviews mention that this place is really pricey and unfortunately I have to agree. But with that being said, the pastries are absolutely out of this world. I haven’t had a single pastry that I didn’t love. I usually go on Sundays so I doubt that they are freshly baked but honestly I can’t tell a difference. You can’t go wrong with any of the pastries. And the people there are so nice! Every single time I come in with my son, he gets a free cookie and that definitely keeps me coming back as well. There are a lot of bakeries on Ave M and you have your pick of the litter but I only go to Breadsmith!
Freshly made artesanal breads, cookies, muffins, cakes ? I feel so lucky to live right on 18and M!! Give them a try ?
