Great roast beef sandwich served on a bun soaked with the beef juices. You eat with a knife and fork. Not fancy. Paper cups for soft drinks. Great fries and onion rings. The place has been around since 1938. All cash. No credit cards. We make the pilgrimage whenever we find ourselves in Brooklyn.
The food is ok but not like back in the day and the pictures don’t match from the internet like how they actually make it .

Had the Gargiulo burger all the way (cheese and onions). Awesome sandwich! Also had onion rings, although those were not as good as the sandwich.

We had the most delicious lunch here on a rainy Saturday. The cozy interior was a sweet escape. The only thing sweeter was the delicious corn fritters. Unfortunately we didn’t save room for dessert, the chocolate looked sinful. The roast beef sandwiches were moist but not soggy (even with a double dip). The structure of the sandwich was not compromised by the delicious beef broth. This is a certified Hannah hot spot!

it is said that it closes at 11 pm came at 9:45 they said we didn’t work and didn’t feed it, it’s very wrong

Planned a whole bike trip from Long Beach around stopping in for a sandwich. Wasn’t able to eat in because my bike wasn’t locked up, but very nice people and they set me up great to take it to go. Will def be back

WOW! I can’t believe how great this place is. The staff is incredible, food is fantastic, and atmosphere was amazing. Been dying to go here for years. Finally made it out to B&C and will absolutely be back.

What an awesome place. Feels like going back in time. I came here on a cold Monday night with two friends. They sat me before my friends arrived which I appreciated. We had 3 sandwiches, 2 cups of NE clam chowder, a few sides to share, 2 rounds of beer all around and 2 desserts a la mode. The total came out to $98. Unbeatable. The beef sandwich is incredible. I recommend getting it rare with cheese and double dipped. If you don't like too much au jus and are scared of soggy bread, maybe get it on the side. But I liked it! Also the desserts are not to be missed, we got the blueberry pie and chocolate lava cake. I think the pies ala mode are definitely the way to go here.
