It's a very old fashioned place. I was the only black person in there when I walked in, but was treated just as wonderful as anyone else. Cash only, the register is extremely old. (I remember seeing a similar one at a diner in Long Island, but they renovated and stored the old one in the basement.)The parking lot holds about 8 to 10 cars. I love their beef broth and oh my gosh their chicken tenders are delicious. The best chicken I’ve ever had in my life. I pray they stay around forever. The waiters are friendky. If you’re ever in Brooklyn, stop by Avenue U and get yourself a delicious broth and chicken. You won’t regret it.
